Sorry I don't have any info this round. Just a wild guess
I'd be happy with K5II+K30. I'm torn between the two atm (would prefer grip and ext mic port of K5, but video of K30) but of course more is better.

A fusion of the Prime processor of K-5II and of K-30/K-01 I'd say is one of the most obvious improvement of the next camera, along the 24 MP Sony sensor. I hope for more cross AF poinst, but I don't think that with the advancement of contrast AF these days, investment in PD AF would be smart, from a business standpoint.

There's only 7 hours left before 27 March 2013 here in OZ and I am begging for this latest painful round of Pentax rumours to be over. Unfortunately, we will have at least another week of this if there's no announcement tomorrow because of April 1st. If there's no major announcement I'll be looking at a D7100 to squeeze a few more pixels out of my AF-S 300/4.

If nothing from Pentax this month, I wonder what the admins have planned for April Fools Day??

I am not making any claims about when we will see a FF DSLR........but I found this post on Pentax Australia's twitter account.
I thought it was interesting that they actually made a comment.
Sounds like they're now spilling some of the beans.
Whether or not it happens this year, it's still something to get excited about.
In the meantime, there are lots of great photos to be shot with past and present Pentax cams...

I was told some weeks ago by a local Pentax rep that there is definitely a Pentax FF coming but he wasn't sure of the time frame.

Indeed we can all pretty much agree on this.

1. Will a 24x36 Pentax body eventually be launched? Yes

2. When? Later this year, more probably next year, except if there is some delay

3. With what specifications? [Embarrassed silence]

According to my confidential sources, on April 1 Pentax will announce a yaw-free 4x5 200 MP digital system with five autofocus Rodenstock primes. List price will be $2000 for the body with 150mm/f5.6 normal lens. Zooms by Tokina will follow. Unfortunately, it will be live view only on the 4x5 LCD.

We've indeed known this for some time, but the question has now become 'will it be announced this week, or later this year?'
It's started off being 'no way, too soon - it must be a K-3 APS-C' to now being 'possibly soon'. But Adam has put those thoughts to a sobering rest with his pitch...

Those details we so desire to hear are clearly what Pentax won't reveal until announcement time. But think of the possibility of the 24Mp sensor of the D600 and what it can do...

Hey... You forgot to mention "along with some Pentax spice" to the sensor like what they did to the current 16MP sony sensor on the K5 as compared to the competitor.

C'mon baby... Lemme shoot at ISO 25,600 with noise equivalent to K5's ISO 6,400 please... LOL!

Hope so, but I have low expectations/requirements.
Having used both K5/K30, a combination of both can almost do no wrong.

Btw, dpr has the D7100 comparison samples up.
I was expecting it to beat K5iis soundly in IQ, but was surprised that K5iis spanked it instead.
In fact it did not fair much better over AA-filtered cameras.
So to me, it seems K5iis it real good vs any aps-c camera now.
Hopefully, Pentax does something above D7100 in IQ for the next camera.

He is obviously reading forums like this, probably even this thread. He has seen us cast doubt and now that we are showing skepticism (until he took it down) he probably faked the NDA story.

I just realized I am making too much of this, I need a break haha. I wont be back until Mar. 27 10am at the earliest.

If the oldest Pentax distributor in the world makes remarks like that, it does indeed sound like It's Happening.

Sometime.
