I'll buy one if it's less than 2 grand. I don't care for full frame digital for any reason other than I like the fact that my 50mm lens behaves like a 50mm. I don't like crop factors.

Jay, you can bet that when Pentax do go FF, they'll be bringing in lenses of the FA ilk again in a DFA label. Otherwise, there'd be problems attracting newer customers.

Yes

I would buy the FF for sure.
K-mount support is required.
I would use my K-5 II as backup.
Dual card slots would be nice.
Built-in battery grip?
Better focus tracking
More AF points (I do notice the difference when selecting my af points)

And better overall flash system...

Looking at it.. Looks like an OVERHAUL of the whole Pentax system just to spit out a FF.. Haha! Let's give them another couple of years or 3...

As soon as Pentax FF would be released, I would sell Nikon D600 and buy Pentax FF. No doubts about that.

No questions asked, if Pentax brings out a FF I will buy it. Hopefully they'll have some lenses to go with it. I have a few FA lenses to get me started, but new ones would be nice.

I'm in the other boat - I would've bought a Pentax FF if that darn D600 deal didn't get me at the end of last year. I'm enjoying the lenses I've bought, and have several that couldn't be replaced (or would be significantly cost prohibitive). Examples: Tokina 16-28 f2.8, $650 after rebate and discount, nikon 85mm f1.8 G under $400, tamron 300mm f2.8 AF under $800 and the tamron 1.4x AF TC under $50. Equivalents to those are simply unavailable or would cost several multiples of those values. Not to mention the prospect of having to sell all of that stuff feels daunting. Still happy with what I have left in K mount though, and the k20d and k-01 are a nice pair. No FF for me though!

And if the net profit is 10% of those sales minus the investment in new lenses for FF, it doesn't sound like a cash cow to me.
True, however sales of those FF cameras lead to higher end lens purchases (by both FF owners and aps-c owners, who might buy more expensive FF lenses with thoughts of upgrading later), and provide at least the knowledge to the average user that there is the potential to upgrade in the future.

Another "would you buy FF" thread? Ok, another "no, I wouldn't", then.

And price wouldn't matter to me. Well, maybe if they will sell for less than an APS when my K-5 eventually needs replacement

Well, I still have FA Limiteds trio in my closet... They are waiting for Pentax FF. Also I am 110% sure that Pentax will come up with a camera, which ergonomics and handling will be years ahead of D600, in fact D600 is much inferior to K-5. Also, as a prime shooter, I hate Nikon mount for its inconvenience of changing lenses.

Yes, thank you, and please!

I would really love a FF Pentax. I got my first camera back around 1990. It was a Pentax Asahi K1000 with an SMC Pentax-M 50mm 1.4 lens. I had spent a number of years collecting more SMC Pentax lenses, all primes, and had a rather large collection until my roommate stole all of my camera gear! SO much hate at that time

After that I ended up with a Nikon F2A Photomic and another collection of Nikkor prime lenses. Those helped me win scholarship that paid for part of my Associates degree while I was studying graphic design! Then in late 2006, my apartment was broken into while I was working for the local newspaper, and someone ran off with $6,000 worth of my stuff, including all of my camera gear. My insurance company screwed me royally, so I was unable to replace almost anything. I saved up for a while, and got myself a Canon 40D dslr, which I am using currently.

Been holding out for Pentax to come along and release a FF camera and then I'll be selling off my entire Canon collection and moving back to Pentax, where it all started for me!
Currenly, the Pentax K-5 and the K-30 are both tempting to me, but if I'm going to return to Pentax, I want to do so in a big way. So for the time being, I'll happily use my SMC Pentax 50 1.4 on my 40D, and wait quietly in a corner, preparing to pounce on a new FF at it's first appearance!

Until then, I'll keep snapping away at shiny objects!

I'd like to be able to do so.
And would not wait.
But not to use with old lenses.
Not to say the old ones aren't good. But new designs are welcome.
When? ... when ... ? ... !
Meanwhile absolutely happy with Q and OM-d em-5.

I'm trying to hold off a K30 purchase to see. It will probably be out of my price range +$1500 so I will prob end up getting a K30 anyway.
