Huh? I'm not sold on the 0.3 mm yet (Pentax doesn't know when you're going to click the shutter... is SR only active after you hit the button?) ... but in any case your argument that the sensor doesn't disappear behind anything doesn't seem to be relevant... could you explain to me how it IS relevant? The biggest rear lens element I own is less than 29mm in diameter. The light spreads out from there.
The sensor only moves when the shutter button is pressed (in normal use), and while the mirror moves up the sensor moves so it is in optimal position when shutter opens.

OK, so then the 3mm req'd is NOT req'd of the image circle, as you said prior.

As I said in the other thread, that article is sloppy and misleading; some high end Canikon long lenses vignettes equally as bad.

Sorry, I don't - but this $12800 lens will do:
Canon EF 600mm f/4 L IS II USM Lens Vignetting Test Results
Or this $10400 lens:
Canon EF 500mm f/4 L IS II USM Lens Vignetting Test Results
Nikon versions are better, with only -1EV vignetting:
Nikon 600mm f/4G ED AF-S VR Nikkor Lens Vignetting Test Results
Nikon 500mm f/4G ED AF-S VR Nikkor Lens Vignetting Test Results

L.E. I managed to find a ~$7000 lens

Have a look at some DxOMark test results. Expensive lenses vignetting wide-open on full-frame shouldn't be the subject of any scandal:

look at the price of the d600 it is not much more than a K-5 was new.

The full frame market is at least 10x larger than MF.
I read somewhere that the MF market was about 7,000 units per year for ALL suppliers. That includes Phase One/Mamiya, Hasselblad, Leica, and Pentax.

So not 10x, much, much, much more.
