I wish everyone would just face facts.

PAY ATTENTION:

We might know what we know but we won't know what we don't know until we know that we don't. We don't know whether they are going to or aren't going to until they do or they don't.

Until some member of this Forum either breaks a valid NDA or actually travels to Ricoh and Pentax and supplier assembly plants and actually observes assembly line preparation and worker training and shipments out-the-door to Pentax Ricoh, everything we hear here is hearsay or worse.

So there. Fixed it for you.

Well, of course you're right. However, there's a difference between pure speculation and an experiment (physical or mere thought) that tests assertions about something concrete (like image corners).

On that score, we now know the image corners from a FA35 and a DA60-250 at 60mm don't appear to be too bad on a 5D body, so that's now a new known to add to three existing knowns (the existence of a 5D, an FA35 and a DA60-250) even if there are lots of unknown knowns still to be explored.

Donald Rumsfeld would no doubt be gratified to know we've taken him seriously.

Swedish connection revealed something possible later this year.
French connection revealed K50 and K500 a month ago.
Chinese Ricoh manager gave some vague hints a few months ago.
A year ago, an anonymous Pentax Ricoh rep showed something on an iPad inside the camera store in Hong Kong (remember that?).
Pentax Croatia told that something was coming during Photokina 2012, but not what we all expect.
Pentax Russia told about several new DSLRs in 2013.
Pentax Australia tweets about 'keep your FA Ltds'.

What all this tells us?

Absolutely nothing.

My favorite movie.

"In Pentax-land, no one can hear you scream..." - pretty much describes me to a T.

I wonder if Giger ever hid an old 35mm in his paintings...

Disagree. It tells us that too many people have too much time on their hands, way too much imagination, and spend waay too little time channeling their imagination into creative photography......

Donald Rumsfeld also said you fight a war with the army you have, not the one you wish you had.

And Peter Zack told me to shoot with the lenses I have, not the ones I dream about.

Same could be said for my cameras.

Of course, I'm just trying to be cute or something. Pentax will announce a dSLR with a larger sensor within a year from today.

On the contrary. It tells us that the APS "K-3" is coming....
