Should Pentax announce an FF, I cannot imagine how much that announcement will jack up the price of the FA31. :P

That works for me as good a reason as any. I was actually basing it on Ricoh's historical timing of announcing the GRD in September, but the 13th anniversary is better. There's no Photokina this year so there's no other big event to unveil it at, is there?

Isn't that about the time for the APS "K-3"?

I don't think an FF Pentax will be here before 2014 or 2015 if at all....
