There are rumors about an imminent update. Hints of a larger sensor. But as usual with rumors it could be bull.

The cropped sensor for the 645 system is a real problem. Firstly, the wide angle solution cost $5000 and weight in excess of 1kg!. Secondly, there are fewer lenses and shorter zoom ranges making it harder to fit your existing lenses into your preferences.

Well when a new sensor would be a little bit bigger, 48x36mm, then that would be great. I don't think the next generation already will have a full size sensor, sincethey are pricey.
