I already have a couple of nice Sigma DG's. Plus FF lenses from Tamron and Pentax. No harm in stocking up

I don't work for pentax, so don't quote me on this...

But since the K-mount started as a 35mm film mount (also known as full frame),
I see no reason they would change it.

It wouldn't make sense for Pentax to make a separate mount for their full frame (if one ever comes out), as that would sort of ruin the whole appeal of it to begin with. Plus, they already have two other formats to worry about (Q and 645).

My DG 15 fisheye is great fun on the K-5, and even more fun on my ME! And I have a couple other FF Sigmae for 28-90 and 100-300 so just back up the free-sample FF truck here

I think the 28mm f1.8 macro is a really good performer. Not small by any measure, but it's a joy to use.

A number of current Pentax K-mount lenses will work on FF - when tested, they work on 35mm cameras. This includes some DA and DA* lenses, as well as some earlier K-mount lenses.

Why would they waste that compatibility? It is one of Pentax's greatest assets.

How can you tell the FF Sigma's from the APS-C for Pentax?

Yeah, I call mine 'The Stew Can.' Sort of a poor gal's FA 31-substitute. Rather outsized compared to the rest of what I carry around, but very nice in the edges and corners, and a real kick of a fast wide angle on film.
