I'd badge it the LXD or DLX (preference for the first)
I'd go along with that as the proud owner of several of the original LX's.

The LX-2 would be another good moniker. Acknowledge that the LX was great and the pro line is a continuation.

IMHO it was Pentax having their finest hour.

Doesn't my K-5 do that already?

I was assuming all the 'good' things on the K-5/K-3 would carry over.
Nope, TAv mode fixes speed, I'd like to fix the *minimum* speed. This is what auto ISO speed accomplishes, but we only get three options, and it's buried behind menus.

Ron: you're right, there could also be a maximum aperture for TV mode, good idea.

Todays DSLRs have built-in motor drive and get to shoot thousands of shots on one SDXC card and are much smaller than the LX with MD and bulk film back .

I havent been with Pentax long enough to say. But there is one thing i know for sure. That is that Pentax could strongly use more advertising in North America. I mean i used see canon and nikon TV ads all the time here but never a Pentax ad

You know.......

there are many FF options from $400 to $2600 out there in 2014

Come on! We don't need to be so pathetic as to play with make believe cameras right?

You do realize that we are in the fictional Full Frame Pentax area?

You could actually make that a worldwide advertising campaign, as they are not that strong in most countries.

Besides of-course the full frame sensor, I think:

AF points more spread over the frame (all cross sensitive)

Auto-ISO speed (minimum shutter speed) on front e-dial when in Av mode. Why this isn't on all two-dial cameras boggles me.

+1 for that!

I love the way the S-mode of my old Minolta XD behaves, it overrides the set shutter speed when it hits the ends of the aperture range.
I think the easiest way would be to let us set limited auto-shutter-speed- (in P and Av) and auto-aperture-ranges (in P and Tv).
I keep hitting ISO80 in TAv mode, I'd like the camera to override my shutter speed setting when it hits the ends of the auto-ISO range.

Or better yet:
Open up the firmware and provide an SDK so we can write our own program modes (incl. apodisation, etc.), I think this one covers it:

although we will never get something like this: I want a development kit, or an open platform to program my own filters, profiles, functions (in-camera-one-click-focus-stacking, dof stacking/bracketging etc.), and most importantly: my own autofocus algorithm (I believe I can do better than Pentax/Ricoh...)

Exactly! Glad I'm not the only one who thinks this would be oh-so useful.

Providing an SDK would be phenomenal, that'd be the first thing I'd change.
