The retention of SR, despite having a FF sensor.

I could even deal with up to a 1.2x crop, if necessary, to use SR.

Functionally the K-30 is pretty good. It beats my K-50 in that it has a battery grip option which really kind of ticks me off that Pentax removed that feature. One of those things you realize after you buy something. But yeah the styling is kind of odd on the K-30. I second the optical viewfinder. I'll never buy an electronic viewfinder camera. In a perfect world they'd launch more WR primes alongside the full frame body.

Isn't that (more or less) what Ricoh promised us (when they started strongly hinting that they were designing a FF, and it wouldn't simply be a "me too" model)?

Interesting, I thought Kmount would be assumed. How else would we put our FA77's on it? :-)

Well you know how some camera makers (SONY) get sneeky and change the mount. Though that being said,, it would be nice to have access to some of the CZ lenses

6.66 MP per a cm in a full frame would equal how many MP??
Not sure. 55-60 I imagine. It would destroy everyone in IQ if they could keep pretty much the same, but expand ISO lower and higher.

100% viewfinder and a dofp lever on the front of the camera.

Although I understand there are some drawbacks to it, I would rather have the electronic shutter. A 1/500th mechanical shutter would have to be made from titanium which would increase cost I'd pay for it, but I'm not sure everyone else would be as excited as I would. An electronic shutter could be implemented via software, so the cost is negligible, and it has far more daylight killing power.

OldNoob, Well, the K5 has the 100% viewfinder, but the dopf preview is accessed electronically or via the collar switch around the shutter button, so I guess the dopf preview on the front of the camera (to the left of the lens mount if the camera is facing you) is the improvement I'd like to see on a perfect Pentax FF.
