You mean 27mm equivalent on FF?
Ah, the 40mm XS wasn't labeled for 27mm equivalent on full frame, it's still 40mm on FF and 60mm on APS-C..

It's all a matter of perspective! Literally!

Yes.. It's like you have a perspective of a 60mm from a FF when using the 40mm XS on APS-C..

I think I am going to need to try all my lenses on one of my film bodies to see how they do after reading this.
Have you ever seen this thread by Falk ? ...

Yeah, the DA 40mm XS perfectly covers the full frame image circle.. I love this pancake lens, it's so sharp, colors and contrast are great, but I couldn't enjoy fully the lens because it becomes 60mm on APS-C..
I wonder if it would work with a Lens Turbo PK-NEX adapter.

It would be nice and then we could close the section of the forum, once and for all.

40mm XS with the Lens Turbo adapter on a full frame? Theoretically, the lens will turn into something 29mm f/2.0, and I think there will be a solid vignetting...

It's pretty good, but apparently the front pages can longer be updated by Falk ... ( so I understand )... anyway, look at the beginning and end, first (maybe) ... or just plow through the entire thread ... J

No, on an APS-C NEX camera. My FF 35mm F1.4 would work like a 24.5mm F1.0 APS-C lens so a much better option but much larger.

Oh, I see.. hehe.. By the way, your lens turbo adapter, how do you find it? Are the image quality good with it? I would love to get one too...

Indeed - it's the concept and the Zeiss 50/1.8 that tempts me, but the lack of SR and OVF hurts the usability. Thanks for the advice.

True, and I definitely would keep some of my Pentax glass - 77/1.8 especially.

We've heard Pentax allude to the first FF being a DSLR. It'll be interesting to see how they intend for it to still be different - I'm hoping to see something more creative than K-3 like body design (though that's certainly enough for most).
I'd certainly be more than content with a K-3-lookalike full frame. That thing's gorgeous, especially the silver edition.
Speaking of which, where do I find the option to add one of those "proud owner" banners in my signature?

I think even the Fuji FF is sooner to launch than a Pentax FF ;-) Fujifilm is planning to compete on the full frame market, new X-E2 firmware is coming soon | Photo Rumors
If that's the case I am up and away immediately.

Should Ricoh really release a FF I think they should create a good teasing campaign like the one for the Pentax K7 with the countdown, I think it created some buzz and people were excited.

Fuji said they don't currently have plans to go with a larger sensor size ("At the moment we’re focusing on the APS-C format"). Photorumors' conclusion is BS; please read the DPReview interview and see for yourself.
Fuji's X mount does not support a full frame sensor.

Pentax said they're working on a full frame DSLR.
The K-mount was designed and functioned as a full frame mount.
An interesting 70-200-ish zoom appeared on the roadmap.

With these in mind, I can see how Fuji is well ahead in the "full frame" race
