I'm with you. There is upside to my downside "Put" strategy...

At that P/E it would still take GoPro 450 years to earn back my capital commitment. That's a bubble number.
If their PE drops to a ridiculously high 100, triple my upside...

I'm right with you

But long term Put options are still being traded... 500 January '17 Puts strike 65. a 50% correction to a 450PE in the next 2 years? makes ~$40/share buying the puts at $23/shr...

All I know is you are soooooooooooooooooooooooo right.
If we only had bought the GoPro share at introduction, we all we walking around with 645Z

...and whining about when they will release a 645 camera with an actual 60x45 sensor instead.

It is about to end this topic and open a new one for 2016. Congrats to Pentax.
Suddenly, 2016 doesn't seem so far away. 2015 would be better.

To all. I jumped ship from Olympus when it was clear the E7 wasn't going to happen. I moved to a Sony a850 and then an a99. I also have an a7r and can tell you I am very happy with both. Despite what others have said I have never had an issue with shutter shock on my a7r. I had a m4/3rd EM-1 and couldn't get rid of it fast enough. The shutter shock was horrible.
I really think Sony has the best mirrorless system out there. Plus they have Zeiss lenses. The system isn't for all but my a99 is a dream to use. No mirror flap, quite, nice FPS for what it is. Great image quality. It's just an all around fun camera to use.

Excellent. And you also work as a Sony's rep in lunch breaks too.

In all fairness... I was told that shutter-shock was a myth, because when the shutter curtains arrive at the bottem and finally create their vibration the exposure was already finalized. I assumed that as true as it seems really plausible. Mirrorslap otoh is real, because that happens precisely before exposure and therefore the vibrations still have influense.

Personally, I only ever experienced mirrorslap when doing extreme macro. Think of wobbly contraptions like a camera on a linear stage with fully extended bellows with microscope lens attached to it. Mirror up shooting fixes that completely. That more or less confirmed to me that shutter-shock is a myth.

Anyway, I don't think any of the two is a real problem in normal shooting.

I had the same dilemma. But I chose Pentax.

Nope not a sales rep. But I have to give it to Pentax they are the most under rated system out there. I have thought this for a long time. I would love to see a FF offering from them. I mean they have everything else including medium format.
