I look forward to taking many uninteresting photos with more shallow DoF with a Pentax digital FF camera (should there ever be one) over the many uninteresting photos with less shallow DoF I take with my Pentax digital APS-C camera.

That is, after it drops to around 1000-1200 dollars used.

FA31, FA43, A50/1.2, DA*55, FA77, DFA100WR, DA*300, Sigma EX DG 70-200/2.8.
There is a clear gap on the wide side. My DA10-17 should work beyond about 14mm, but I would also want something in the 24mm range. Otherwise I'm pretty much there.

If a 36x24 K-mount DSLR ever materialises, and it looks the goods, I would pony up for it pretty early. I would still keep my APS-C kit though.

How do you know any potential FF digital Pentax body wouldn't automatically sense your DA lenses and go into an APS-C mode?

My D800E does that, but still allows the manual selection of the crop modes as an option.

I don't of course, but I hope there would be a possibility of manual override....

I'm ready if it happens

I have the 3 FA ltd's, F28mm f2.8. FA 50mm F1.7,Sigma 24mm f1.8, Sigma 100-300mm f4 w/1.4&2x tc's. But they better hurry, since I also have a Nikon d300. and the Tamron 150-600 and am really tempted to go for a used d800 because of the better auto focus. It's a little quiet out there in rumor land these days and i don't have a lot of time to wait.

If I was Ricoh I wouldn't... I mean if everyone can just use their large collection of Full Frameable DA lenses, how are we (Ricoh) going to sell them new lenses? That is where we're making money. Otherwise we're just selling a camera body and that is all. where is the fun (read: money) in that? hehehe

I mean if I can use my plastic DA 35 f/2.4, DA 50 f/1.8, and 105 f/2.8 macro lenses on this potential digital FF body in FF mode.. then I'm not buying any new lenses from Pentax for awhile.. you posted a much more impressive array of lenses in anticipation. We're not doing Ricoh many favors here doing so.

Come tax season its either Pentax FF (if there is one) or a Sony (or whoever if a whoever option exists) and go adapted.

I'm pretty much set as far as FF lenses go, since I've been buying on the cheap for years now. The only two non-FF lenses I own are my 10-20 and my kit lens.

I have a little over $5,000 sitting aside for either a new Pentax FF and 70-200 or to switch systems. I have another $1,200 set aside for a high quality prime.

for heavens sake can someone forward this thread to some Ricoh bod with influence

Lot of money to spend on manual focus and aperture, Sagitta!

Ready enough. Only additional lens I'd want at this point is 24-70 f2.8, and I'd be good to go.

Between my four full frame FE mount lenses , full frame K mount , Nikon mount and A mount lenses I'm pretty much set as far as FF lenses go.

I'm so ready for an FF model.

If Pentax does not present an FF model at Photokina, I may just lose faith. There had been good reasons as to why a release had to be delayed, but I don't think there are any good reasons left.
