Yes, those lenses definitely look like FF lenses... So what? Pentax released FF lenses before, which didn't lead to an FF camera coming to fruition either.

The buttons and switches: Switching between lens motor and screwdrive? (That would be sweet.) Focus limiter, stabilisation on/of, macro switch, fairy dust on/off.

Whatevery they are, they really look very cool.

The previously released new FF lenses were made FF for their film cameras, back in 2004; they even had to have aperture rings, because some film cameras needed them (the flagship - MZ-S - included). Now, film cameras are no longer a factor.

Yeah? Was that (superb) DFA 100mm 2.8 WR released in 2004? Or in an era where film cameras were an oh so very important factor? I also can't seem to find its aperture ring. Did I receive an unfinished copy perhaps? It works absolutely fine regardless though.

I said new lenses - the 2004 D FA 50 and 100mm macro. They were made with film cameras in mind.

They later (end of 2009, when FF was "maybe later, after 645D") reused the D FA 100mm optics into a Limited-like, WR barrel and at that point the film cameras weren't a factor - so the aperture ring could go away. Also, it made no sense to either remake the optics or to artificially restrict it to APS-C so they didn't; that's why it's still a D FA. This is in line with my previous post.

FWIW, I recognise what one of those buttons on the 'High Magnification Super Zoom' might be.

On the Nikon 70-200 f2.8 G VR ED, it has three of those buttons around the lens barrel, where they serve as a focus lock, as the manual for that lens explains:
QuoteQuote:
"With autofocus operation, focus is locked while pressing the focus lock button.
・The AF-Lock function can be engaged on either the camera and lens. Focus is locked while either of these buttons is pressed."
The newest versions of the Nikon 70-200's (the f4 and the f2.8 VR II) have ditched the 'AF lock' buttons on the lens barrel, however. They must not be very useful.

I'll venture to say yes to 2015.
Poll is closed though.

CRK (Aussie distributor) told me this morning FF would be "next year sometime"...that was as much as Pentax/Ricoh were willing to tell them apparently.

The chap I spoke to thought CP+ would be a good event to keep an eye on, but as far as I know he was only speculating.
