There's a thought! Let's hope they don't wait for an April 1st launch!

Man, that D750 is tempting....
Agreed ... and true for that D750.

Then again, I just may stay with APS-C a while longer even after a FF appears ... a K-3 next for me?

K-5 will have to do, for me, until they release a FF.

April fool but I do hope they explore other options than put in Sony sensor. Not that it's no good but still a normal Bayer sensor not so interesting

Foveon sensors have a theoretical advantage. Eventually they might be able to surpass Bayer sensors.

For now, Bayer sensors are still the best of what's available.

Happy to see we've had a few more voters. Hopefully we can hit the 300 votes number, which will help improve accuracy with the poll.

I'm more pleased with my K-01 + DA Ltd's + legacy glass than I've ever been with any photographic equipment. There's such a joy to shooting, I waste many shots in compositions that I know are doomed to fail even before I press the shutter button... but somehow the K-01 + whichever lens, for a few seconds of nearly religious belief, convinces me that it will all work out. It often doesn't, but that's okay... because there is tomorrow.
Thanks for voting!

Maybe, but not now... my purse is still recovering from "mandatory" purchases (flash, a good tripod).
Voting now.

As a student I can't actually afford a FF right now or in the next couple of years. But some time in the future I'd like to upgrade to one.

I personally consider many features listed in the first post unnecessary. I think a realistic configuration (and one I'd be very happy with) would be a scaled up K3 (similar body, weather proofing and all) with a 24-36 MP sensor and just the standard improvements in other areas (better AF system with more AF points, faster processor, improved JPEG engine etc. pp.).

Just to quote myself and clarify a thought ...

Going away from APS-C means that I loose use of some lenses, one being my much loved DA 15 Ltd.

So, there is a "downside to FF" for certain lenses on the road map. Maybe I could aways keep the K-5 just for the 15, etc. ...

Guess that I may cross that FF bridge when I (we) get to it ... if ever J

I'm very interested in the FF and the only lens I want to have in wide angle is this lens, you have experienced a lot of lens, do you find any FF lens equivalent to this one ?

There is nothing in the camera rule book that says you have to ditch APS-C (and stop using your favorite lenses) when you get a FF.

I have a Tamron Adaptall-2 SP 17/3.5 (151B) that I really liked (stopped down) before I acquired the DA 15 Ltd. The 15 is much better.

I am really not a "wide-angle oriented" person, but the 15 really helped me to change/alter some of my perspectives ...

I use the 15 quite a bit and would sell the SP 17. But the 17 has the FF and Adaptall-2 advantage in that I have adapters for my various collected film bodies.

Salut, J

I know and agree 100%.

I am now explaining to the family CFO that a FF would be wonderful for the legacy glass ... PLUS THERE'S A NEED TO KEEP THE K-5 !!!

I didn't try a lot of wide angle lens, but it's hard to beat DA 15 in term of sharpness, color and close up capability ! thanks for your experience
