Short zoom, long zoom, 50's lens would be classics. Present a road map for another 3-5 lenses.
BUT how many DA lenses will they still sell, who should buy a high-end Pentax with three expensive lenses - currently Pentax wins in the low budget field. Why should anyone buy Pentax FF then you can have the same from Canon, Nikon, Sony with many more options. Pentax need to come out big or keep APS-C and choose some other way for innovation.
At the same time Canon presented a camera that will take the lead an APS-C land as soon as it will be available.

Actually that's a very good point, a new road-map is almost a certainty...

I don't think there's a massive fear for the APS-C line-up. It has it's advantages for the enthusiasts, birders, landscapers and telephoto lovers. The two line-ups will appeal to different segments.

aps-c is nearly complete with many ff usable ape-c marketed primes. Yeah, maybe they will add some WR, SDM or DC on one or the other aps-c lens, but to me it seems, like it is time to fully concentrate on the FF lenses. (think about sonys a7 line. they are believed to sell like hotcake)
i only hope for WR on every piece of FF... IMHO all the primes up to 150 should be built like the "D FA 100mm Macro WR" . But my good guess for the first lenses that go with the ff-body is:
28-70, 70- 200 (kit versions and f:2.8 versions > both WR)
135mm or 105 f:2.8 prime WR

After that, they will go for redesigning the legacy FA lineup and name them HD D-FA.

And if all this should make any sense, and they want to impress serious photographers, they will at least have to completely reinvent a distortion free 12,13 or 14mm wide angle prime for FF and a wide-angle zoom with a range from 12-24mm.

later on (when enough FF-bodies are sold) maybe 800mm with f:5.6 or f:6.3 WR

primes maybe will have to wait or some prime Crop lenses maybe just get kinda rebranded like when ricoh introduced their stamp (red ring) along with some HD coating. thinking about the fact that there is a lineup for FF that has very high IQ and starts at 31mm and ends at 100mm(WR Macro makes nearly a FA limited)

I think it would be cool if they did at least one lens that made people want the system because other systems didn't have it available. Something like 105mm f1.4 or something like that.

That lens would be against Pentax's stated goal of smaller aperture, lighter lenses... but I agree, that would be a fun lens to have available. Not sure I'd pay the $XXXX to get it though.

Alongside their FF body, it wouldn't do Pentax any harm to eventually release a family of light, affordable but high performance plastic 1.8 primes, akin to the DA 35 or DA 50. No need for everything to be WR, gold plated and high-end.

Nikon has done the same with the plastic FF Nikon 28mm, 35mm, 50mm, 85mm 1.8G's, some of which - like the 85mm 1.8G - sit near the top of the performance charts at DxOMark.

I wonder if there will be an addition (or two) to the flash lineup as well.

And perhaps announce a new pro-support network (not that I really care).

I'm just thinking Ricoh have demonstrated a desire to do things right, and the 'right' way to release a new FF would be to have farely good system to go with it from the outset, so I have a feeling they'll bring quite a few bits to the party relatively early in the piece.

Exciting, ain't it

That would be an interesting and very emblematic move. They could probably do that easier in some markets than others though. I think in Australia, where the local distributor (CRK) already has an established support network with offices in each State capital, Ricoh could probably offer such a service relatively easily. But in some countries where distribution and service perhaps isn't handled as well at the moment, they may have some work to do to enable a professional support service.

Plus Ricoh will have to start sending a few guys with some spare lenses and bodies, and a few sensor cleaning sticks, out to the major sporting or other events, like for example Nikon does:

Event Support | Nikon Professional Services

Maybe that level of event support will be a long time coming though, since Pentax pros at sporting events will probably be too uncommon to justify the effort, at least for a while yet.

so lets hope for a D-FA 250-600 WR, so this professional support idea can appear in the realms of possibility...

Given that the 560mm started out at $8k or whatever, I don't want to be on the forums when this lens is intro'd....

The only thing I'd want would be the equivalent of the Nikon 14-24 and 24-70. So realistically what I'd want s already available. I have those equivalent FLs covered for APS-c to my satisfaction, so I'm looking for a completely new system whether Nikon nor Pentax makes little difference.

The only way a Pentax system makes any sense to me is practically a body only purchase, unless they release an FF equivalent of something I don't have or might like in APS-c like the FA 15. If I have to buy new lenses for it it may as well be a Nikon or a Canon. But hey, that's just me.

I'm looking forward to someday being able to see my DA 35 and FA 50 1.8 on FF. But before a Pentax FF becomes part of a plan, there has to be something wider than the 31 ltd.

There is a 12-24 from SIGMA... I think they will do such a lens by themselves, And what they really should do is make the in body screwdrive-motor more silent. (like an SDM motor)

There's also the SamYang 14mm, of course. Does very well on FF, by all accounts.
