Full Frame news

I saw the thread about the announcement of a Full Frame camera. Is there any addition info or photos of the camera? Pricing? Other features?

Not to pick nits....at the Ricoh Imaging web site I found the announcement for the 645Z and read through it quickly and found Pentax misspelled. I'm of the belief that since this page is public information every effort to make sure there are no spelling errors...especially for the brand name the company markets....sorry I had to point that out.

There is no announcement of a full frame camera. Check back in February.

Full-frame is just around the corner, we've been told many times. 2015 is the latest bet.

Keep following the corners though and you come full circle, as we've found before

Coming? They're here... and they've been here the whole time. The only thing they need is film.

Having just seen pre-christmas price drops to $1500 for Nikon D610 and Canon 6D, I'm kicking myself again. If only I had originally chosen a different lens mount to invest in, I could be shooting an affordable FF camera using the native lens mount right now. And I find it less and less likely that Ricoh will bring a FF at all with competition like that. What specs or price could they now have to attract users of other mounts? And if all the market they could get is a fraction of the current K mount users, I don't think they'll see it as a viable option. Too bad.

Too bad film is dying ... slowly and unfortunately surely...
I'd rather shoot film that digital. I always find it more rewarding.

Sometimes i wonder the same thing.. perhaps... what could happen?? but then i remember why i picked Pentax, and why i invest some $$ in this brand, And i remember that i love it, i love how it feels, how it takes the pictures, i remember how comparing the K3 with other similar cameras it beats them.. ... except.. some FFs... so i still have the hope that this year the opportunity to finally upgrade to not just a FF body.. but a great price FF body.

Ricoh will release a FF.. if not why they showed FF lenses at Photokina??? or they finally moved from saying "working on it" to a "yes" .. the market is demanding FF sensors for great prices so they can be reacheable for more people.

You know, maybe instead of a lens, the next giveaway Adam does on the forum could be for Valium pills. The contest would only be available to frequent posters on the full frame sub-forum.

Dying? No, I wouldn't say so. Ever changing in a digital world? Yes.

Well... I guess depends on the format, region and so on.
Over here labs that process film are fewer and fewer every year. All of my films I have to ship them and wait for 3-4 weeks to get them back... plus the costs are extremely high nowadays .
