To prepare for Pentax full frame digital, free yourself of all expectation. What happens will happen when and how it happens.

I'm still not sold on FF for the sake of FF. I need a FF camera to clearly show I can get better images with it than I can with the k-3. Nothing I have seen anywhere shows me so far that I can. And I would have to retrain my brain as all the focal lengths will be wrong.

Still, I am hopeful and if nothing else a FF puts Pentax on the map as a full line camera brand. I am tired of the snide remarks from other brand users "oh that's just a crop camera, right?"

Well the appearance of all my FF lenses are wrong now, they would be correct with FF.

Does that mean we cancel each other out?

And how many years have you been shooting APS-C? Just curious to see how many years it will take to retrain my brain.

Digital APS-C since 2008 so that's just seven years now, prior to that 28 years with FF 35mm film.

Where it all goes wrong for me is when I mix the two... I pick up my LX's for a shoot and it just reconfirms just how different APS-C is.

Anyway Pentax FF is coming soon and all my "Ladies" can all be themselves again... right.

Yes, I can understand that. I don't switch back and forth, all APS-C right now. I shot 35mm film for about 10 years then switched to digital point & shoots until 2010 when I bought a k-x. I guess the gap in between 'reset' my brain. Right now my brain sees in APS-C. So minimum of 7 years (or more) to retrain? Ouch. I might have to get therapy...........

I'm still trying to not retrain, so I still think in FF... as I also use other equipment too. I want for my "Mistress" to be the fully wide rectilinear Lady she once was.

Phrases like does my backside look big in this, spring to mind.

You mean we're supposed to hate Hxya, just because they nearly destroyed Pentax, to the point where Ricoh may never be able to completely repair them?

LOL, no the oops was I left my Hoya filter on the 50mm. No filter on the 100mm, that's just the way it looks. I thought it was funny after all the work to get that set up I forgot a filter. And then it had 'HOYA' on it

I have never been affected by this 'right' 'wrong' thing wrt focal lengths.
I just pick the lenses that are 'wide', 'normal', 'tele' enough wrt to that format and frame accordingly.
Been on film, m4/3, Q, apsc, FF digital... never a problem nor frustration over it.

Working distance (often needing nearer) for same FOV and DOF has been the only thing that made me go for FF.
And thats it, 16mp files from my K5 and K30 are really enough for my enthusiast needs (printing up to A3+), so its not even a file quality problem to me between FF/APSC.

Pentax M20/4; A50/1.7; M85/2 a very versatile travel kit at a very small size.

My MZ-5n is basically no different from the above setup in size.
Just that the one above is a tube adapter and the one on the MZ5n is the portion housing the mirror box.
In other words, a FF camera of this size is possible for Pentax.

And the great thing is, the Pentax lenses makes so much more sense on this sort of smallish camera being not too big themselves.
Brands like Canikon really have a problem since their largish lenses offer no advantage even if they come up with a smaller FF camera body.

I am very ready for Pentax FF.
They just have to at least announce one within the year.

I think most of my stuff has me covered from 24-500mm for FF. Let's see, that's a normal FOV equivalent to 16-333... I should be good with APSC unless there is a distinct FF advantage.

Good to go here. 20 to 300 on FF. Not big into long telephoto. Might get a 14 soonish, but no fisheye.

All the Ms I have (28/3.5, 50/1.7, 55/1.8, 100/2.8, 200/4, 80-200/4.5).
I won't mention anything else because it would probably just be unusable and far too terrible...
