I found very good deal from ebay so I could not pass it. Now I have FA J 18-35, FA 20-35 and DA 20-40 I think I am going to sell DA 20-40 to fund FF body.

I was never one to complain about the lack of a FF Pentax body, happily shooting APS-C with the 1.5X crop factor for birding but I have to admit that the FF announcement has me curious. I'd like to try an FA 31mm on FF, I imagine it's a great street lens. Back when I shot film my SuperTak 85mm ƒ1.9 was always on my camera so that's a focal length that appeals to me. Maybe I won't be able to afford the new body for a while, but the lenses I have for it are

Pentax FA 31mm Limited
Pentax FA 43mm Limited
Pentax FA 50mm ƒ1.4
Pentax FA 50mm ƒ1.7
Pentax A 50mm ƒ1.2
Pentax A 50mm ƒ1.7
Pentax FA 77mm Limited
Pentax FA* 85mm
Pentax FA* 200mm ƒ4 Macro
Pentax FA* 300mm ƒ4.5
Pentax FA* 250-600mm
Pentax FA* 600mm
Pentax A* 600mm

Zenitar 16mm
Sigma 50-500mm
Voigtländer 58mm Nokton
Voigtländer 125mm Apo-Lanthar Macro
Lester Dine 105mm Macro
Vivitar Series 1 105mm Macro

And I ordered a Sigma 12-24mm from eBay to cover the UW end. These are the lenses that are designated FF, if any of my DA lenses work that's just an added bonus. I also hope that the DA TC works since it adjusts for SR. Also I'm hoping that the new, larger viewfinder will make manual focusing more accurate without having to resort to other focusing screens. I'm looking forward to this new experience.

A little over a year ago I got a K-3 and I was all prepared to sell all the manual focus film gear I owned go all-in with DA Limiteds. Then I got it in my head that this would be the year Ricoh really did FF, so instead I sold almost everything and got:

FA31
DA40/2.8 Ltd. (kept with/for K-01)
FA43
FA50/2.8 Macro
FA77
Vivitar Series 1 105/2.5 Macro (NOS)
K200/2.5 (kept)
DA55~300 (kept)

I withdrew the FA50/1.4 and FA35/2 from the Marketplace because I didn't get a single PM in an entire month, so they're actually still around.

I plan to add a DA*300 late this year.

If I do add the FF it will be late 2016 but I haven't decided how I'm going to play that.

I can't say yet. Winter is very dark season here in Finland. All the shots I have taken with the lens has been high ISO which is not the way to test lenses. I am still sure I am going to be happy having this lens when the FF arrives.

I would also keep in mind that, with this in mind, DA lenses could theoretically be forced into crop mode on any potential digital Pentax FF body. I mean it is possible it reads the lens and would automatically set the mode regardless if the lens is otherwise fully functional with a FF sensor.
I just wish it would be a customisable mode, ie you would still be able to shoot with DA lenses in FF mode an do your own cropping

It will be customisable/optional. Every single FF system (Nikon, Sony etc) lets you choose what you want to do when you mount a crop lens on FF. IMHO there is zero likely chance that Pentax would do any different.

Agreed, I don't understand people jumping to conclusions, the upcoming photo expo is less than a week away, we've waited years for a FF, we can wait one week more for more information.

Do not forget about the excellent range of FF lenses from Tamron Adaptall2 SP range, I do have a few of them but I am still not sure if I really want FF?

I have to say that you're prepared for FF very well. 3x 600 lenses... impressive... Just let me know if you'd decide to let go one of them (FA)

Wide: DA10-17 (it's OK from 14mm upwards), FA*24, FA31
Normal: FA43, A50/1.2, DA*55
Telephoto: FA77, DFA100WR, K135/2.5, DA*300, DA1.4xTC

The zooms (DA*16-50 and DA*50-135) can go on the K-3, as can the telephotos when I want more reach.

I'm ready. Soooooo ready.

I'm wondering... Sigma 12-24... seems like it's DG lens, so should be FF ready. Is it any good?

This takes some consideration. I've got plenty of FF glass if I count the manual lenses (my lenses), but in the autofocus range there are some gaps.

The lenses I already have and would seriously use on the Pentax FF digital camera are:

Primes:
SIGMA 20mm f1.8 EX Aspherical DG DF RF
SMC Pentax-FA 28mm f2.8 AL
SMC Pentax-FA 35mm f2 AL GC
SMC Pentax-FA 50mm f1.4
SMC Pentax-DFA 100mm f2.8 FREE macro 1:1
SMC Pentax-FA 135mm f2.8 IF
SIGMA EX 180mm f3.5 IF APO 1:1 macro
SIGMA AF Tele 400mm f5.6

Zoomes:
SMC Pentax-FA 28-70mm f4 AL
SMC Pentax-FA 28-105mm f4-5.6 Powerzoom

Converters:
Soligor AF 1.7x converter
Tamron BBAR MC7 AF 2x converter

I have some F-zoomes and FA-powerzoomes as well that aren't that good. Also I need to check if any of my DA's cover FF.

At first sight I see five lenses missing in my FF-autofocus line:

1) a fish-eye - presumably the F/FA 17-28mm fish eye, should be as fun as the 10-17 FE on APS-C
2) a gap between 20 and 28mm, which is quite big - a FA*24mm would be nice
3) a portrait lens - FA 77 ltd or FA*85mm (how is the DA70ltd, which I have, on FF?)
4) wide zoom - the FA 20-35mm perhaps (that could also at least for some time solve number 2)
5) long zoom - what are the options beside the FA*

Of course I have manual lenses to cover these gaps, but in a future beyond getting the FF body I'd like to fill these gaps with autofocus alternatives since I am sometimes lazy...

I assume that prices on used F and FA and corresponding 3rd party lenses will begin to rise now when the comming FF is official...

I finally got around to shooting another family picture. So I am ready for FF. The real question is: Do I want it? I've gotten used to and very happy with shooting on APS-C. If I move to FF then all my glass will seem very short. Well, at least we have time to think about it.

Can anyone spot the 'oops'?
You got the -F 85mm f2.8 soft focus to complete the set, that's real dedication right there...

Wasnt really looking for it, but one popped on ebay at the right price so I grabbed it. I want to try it out and see what the soft focus will do. Who knows maybe that look will come back in style.
