I was building my Q empire when that CES disclosed those lenses that appear to be full frame focal lengths. I immediately decided to sell my Q kit and get a DA* 55mm which surprisingly works well on full frame. Does anyone have photos taken with any other DA lenses on full frame? The falconeye thread doesn't seem to have photos from all of them or its just me. Does anyone have photos for DA 70? Also any other suggestions for preparing for full frame?

Really nice list, third party lenses included.
Anyway, pretty much all of my lenses already are either from the film era, third party FF lenses, or DFA and DA that project image circle big enough for FF. Just one perk of buying primes.

And keep in mind that if you have a lens that really projects a small image circle, you can still crop. I'm sure any Pentax FF would need to include a "crop mode"

Mostly I just hope Zeiss and Voigtlander might restart their K-mount production! They make some sweet primes, which are a little rare (or expensive) on the used market

Without going on a LBA binge your quickest and easiest path to FF is the FA Limiteds : the 31mm, the 43mm, and the 77mm. Consider the FA 20mm for wide angle and the D FA 100mm macro for telephoto. Beyond that you will need to follow jatrax's lead and go used. I would say that adding a 135mm and 200mm to everything I mentioned would complete you completely.

On the zoom front I would recommend the FA 28-105mm f/3.2, the FA 28-70 f/4, and even the FA 28-200mm f/3.8 if you can find a good copy with a hood.

Other than that, you're just loading up on excess glass.

If/when a Pentax FF comes out there will no doubt be new lenses released or announced for future release.

I would also keep in mind that, with this in mind, DA lenses could theoretically be forced into crop mode on any potential digital Pentax FF body. I mean it is possible it reads the lens and would automatically set the mode regardless if the lens is otherwise fully functional with a FF sensor.

I thought I was a Ltd-type guy, but it turns out I'm more of a * lens shooter. I guess the fact that I've now sold all 3 FA Ltds proves it. Great lenses, but priorities prevailed and I ended up with three key * primes.

The best Black and White print I've ever seen was by Clyde Butcher. So you need to sell everything and move to a 16x20 camera.
