I think the lenses should give us a clue as to what to expect from the FF body... Considering they are releasing a high quality F2.8 70-200 I reckon it's going to be more sports and speed oriented. The K3 is pretty quick for APSC AT 8.3 FPS and is only let down by it's AF speed and the AF speed of the lens motors....
With the new 150-450 and 70-200 getting newer designs and faster apertures I reckon the new FF is going to at least match if not best the K3 in terms of AF and FPS.
Also note the recent releases of new SD UHS-II cards. It would make sense that the new FF body will be able to make use of those high read and write speeds!
Imagine a 10/12FPS FF WITH 36MP a huge buffer and write speeds around 250MB/s.... Plus super quick lenses and AF (not just fast aperture but fast motors and mechanism and fast AF algorithms)

That's a FF I WOULD BUY!!! ))

I've been using a Spotmatic F quite a bit lately, and I was thinking how neat it would be to have the same bare bones camera but in FF. I don't think it'd ever happen as there isn't the market for it, but it'd be a keeper.

They're going after the 645Z (50Mp sensor?) so we're going after the bread 'n butter.
Fast lenses, fast focusing, fast cameras - next they'll bw sponsoring fast cars.

It will be unique. Looks like a Pentax, acts like a Pentax, but priced almost like a Leica. Oh, and you can play Doom I and Doom II on the back LCD screen. But not the latest version though, that's why I won't buy it.

24mp there's going to be tech like IBIS, faster engine and fps, upgraded focus system, and moire reduction. So they need to balance it out. I actually think 24mp is the sweet spot

I am still not convinced that it will come ... however, should it be I doubt that it will be that much outstanding of the other crowd of full frame slrs except for the shake reduction (and this also has the mirrorles sony a7), but I think we will be rewarded with a higher price tag than the competition. But I don't mind, I am probably in ;-)

You should; what you're seeing are no mere rumours.
My signature is still valid, by the way

Interesting poll results! Seems most people expect something totally out there, while the second group expects something similar to the entry level FF. With the announcements, we will soon know for sure!

Seems both major groups were a bit off.
