Pentax K-24 (because of the sensor size that should be 24x36 mm) that would leave the door open to a sister model later on with more MP for the freaks.
(Both the 24 and the 36 would be even numbers)

But another good guess from a photo - salesman that seems to be a part-time undercover pentaxian... was that they will start to use the even numbers.

One would start out with a 6 in words "SIX" because that is a tack sharp and hot number, if you now what i mean. (you could even make a short wordplay out of "SIX" for some exciting new technology - if something would really get implemented into the first FF) because it only consists out of 3 letters.

I am pretty sure about K-6 (fits perfectly not only because a 6 is the double of a 3)

yep and if you misspell K2 it means something like dogs bollogs in japanese... but nonetheless there was a K2

LX D gets my vote.....

I like LX-D, but maybe Ricoh will capitalize on its earlier names with XR-D.

I owned an XR-10 and a truly excellent camera, the XR-P.

Sorry if this has already been discussed. Very keen to see it whatever the name....

they f...... wouldnt dare... they even took off the ricoh signature from the new K-3 body(II)

so i also like LX-D... But only if it features some kind of hybrid viewfinder.... that would give me a link to the LX(for which several Viewfinders where available) there maybe something completely different about the Pentax FF DSLR that sets it above every other cam. But what... If it is some kind of modularity i am with you for sure. LX-D it shall be.

But if not... i already posted how i think about pentax numbering...

I fall in love with Pentax 135D.....but I believe there will be 2 or 3 lines of FF cameras. Like D610/D750/D810. Plus, there should be a FA 135 mount. Still, is the best name so far.

Number 4 in japan is the "dead" number. When you count, is Ichi, ni, san, SHI, go (1, 2, 3, 4, 5). But thay say Ichi, ni, san, YOON. Its like floor number 13 in the apartment buildings. If someone skip a WHOLE name in a floor name list, in a million dollar proyect as an apartmen building, I believe they skip the 4 in the names in a product line.
