DA* 1.4/85 mm
2.8/70-200 will be followed by 2.8/28-70 or similar and will be shortly after followed by a 1.4/85mm

Let's hope so, I think an updated D-FA* 1.4/85 would be a compelling offer .....even for many APSC shooters

Probably the F 35-70 that came with my SFx in 1989.

First pic, dunno. Probably just point it out the back door and take a pic of the garage doors (they have lots of horizontal lines - Aussies will know I mean when I say it's a B&D Rolladoor).

SMC 28/3.5 Shift. Really looking forward to using it on FF.

I will try my Voigtlander 180/4 first. To really see the bokeh on it

Then I would try the Helios 40-2 85mm f/1.5 to see the Circle bokeh.

After that I would mount my DA*55/1.4 to use it as intended.

to celebrate this historical event I will use my historical XR Rikenon 2.8 35mm.

Why? It was made by Pentax !

Ricoh has sold these in the late 1970s and a some of them where made by Pentax!

Probably a small series, it looks different than the one in the photo in this forum:
https://www.pentaxforums.com/userreviews/ricoh-rikenon-xr-35mm-f2-8.html

My one is identical to the Pentax M 2.8 35mm, except a little larger in body diameter with 52mm filter size.

It has has the serial-no 100208 on the front: RICOH LENS MADE IN JAPAN 52ø 100208 XR RIKENON 1:2.8 35mm
just like this one: https://www.flickr.com/photos/alf_sigaro/8121872250/?rb=1

... then I try my full frame Sigma 12-24 mm set to 12 mm to see what fits into the frame ...

... then a night walk with the Revuenon 55mm f1.2

I guess that depends. While I have a few film compatible lenses, not sure how Pentax FF compatible they are as the new Pentax FF lenses have a larger imaging circle to compensate for the addition of the shake reduction. But should they all work fine with no crop needed, I'd probably try the 100mm macro.

OK, I will play... I will choose between my FA 31 Ltd. and the m42 Auto-Topcor 58/1.4.

First the K 30mm f/2.8 snapping something near me and at least one wide shot outside.
If the body had an aperture coupler i would next mount the Bokina 90mm f/2.5 taking some Bokeh shots.
If not i would send back the body to Pentax for proper environment-friendly disposal.

Wow, the 77 and 180 before the 50/1.2. I'd love to see the 1.2 DoF on the FF.
I would probably end-up going with the A50/1.2 & SP 180/2.5 first then the FA 77 & F28/2.8.

Unfortunately, mine is the one converted from Exakta mount to m42, not the original ones (which was produced in limited quantities); Nonetheless still a great and fun lens to play with.

I bet that most who will get their new full frame Pentax in the future and whatever lens they're going to put it on, their very first subject for test shot will be their lens cap. LOL!

I would have to say my A 28mm F2. I use this lens the most. It will be odd because I really like this focal length on APS-C. 28mm on APS-C is like the 43mm for full frame that 28mm is the diagonal length of APS-C as 43mm is the diagonal length of 35mm film. Thinking about it for the Pentax Full Frame digital I will have to invest in a FA 43.

I also have a K 17mm Fisheye that would be a must first. How fun will that be.

They also might re-release legacy glass with AF and WR along with improved coatings - Personally I think the 50mm f/1.2* and FA*200mm f/4 ED macro would be two lenses that would be worthy candidates for this, the 50mm f/1.2 suffers from ghosting rather badly on digital - but other than that optically speaking it is one of the best 50mm lenses I have ever worked with. The FA*200mm f/4 ED macro is easily the best 200mm macro lens on the planet. I think equipping these lenses with modern lens construction, Aero bright II, WR sealing and perhaps DC/screwdrive** focusing mechanism would be a way to go.

* Even Nikon doesn't have a single current native-F mount f/1.2 lens in their line up - this would irritate the nikon crowd considerably, as the best f/1.2 lens Nikkor has is the 58mm f/1.2 noct-nikkor which sells on the second hand market for prices upwards of $3500
**there is just enough space near the rear element of the A/K 50mm f/1.2 lenses for the AF contacts, using screwdrive AF would eliminate the concern of clearing the rear element.

Nikon still makes their manual focus NIKKOR Normal 50mm f1.2. That is a great price for such a lens. If I shot Nikon I would definitely have that lens. It would be great if Pentax brought back your A 50mm f1.2 with updated coatings for digital. At that price too.

What is interesting is that ~ 3 or so years ago Pentax brought out a batch of new A50/1.2 and sold them through BH and Ador. I don't know if they "found" them in a warehouse or if they were warranty hold backs or what.
