Blue I can not believe I missed that opportunity. Do you remember what they sold for?

I remember the outfit Matsuiyastore that sells on eBay having brand new A50/1.2 selling for around $600 about 5 years ago which I regret to this day not picking one up from them.

I do have an A50/1.4 which is a great lens in its own right still the A50/1.2 is in a league of its own.

I think it was $899.

My old SMC 50mm F 2.0 and take a picture of Obama in the shower. And BAAAM, fame, fortune, another body, two 645Z, a lot of super telefoto and primes. No more stupid weddings, just wildlife workshops all the time around the globe.

Ok, dreaming is free, and I probably go to guantanamo forever if I take that picture .

I'd borrow my wife's sigma 50/1.4 , then my A28/2.8 and A50/1.7, then probably keep her 50 on the FF for a while.

Courtesy of the NSA, that knocking at your door is the Men In Black, Enrique. Best to go quietly into their SUV for the sake of your wife and kids! :-P

Any of my -F primes, and then my Bokina for indoor macro shots of my cats around the house.

Happily, I'll be spoiled for choice, but then, I was collecting for this very thing for quite a few years. I'm tempted to say I'd try a portrait first, but the big advantage of 35FF is at the wider end of FLs. Still, the A50/1.2 should be a good compromise for both. If the body arrives during the day, I'll head for the waterfront with the FA20/2.8, as backup. Otherwise, a portrait in the local Botanical Gardens, with the FA77/1.8 to follow.

Decisions, decisions...

Yes, I do believe in that scenario YOU would become the 'wildlife workshop.'

Probably the SMCP-K 50mm f/1.2 - it has been my absolute favorite pentax 50mm lens for years. I would hope they would re-release it with a silver edition of the FF DSLR.

Pentax K5IIS - SMCP-K 50mm f/1.2 @ f/1.2 ISO 80 1/6400th

bloody hell - that is quite a find.
Mmmmmm... There's a lovely lineup of my 3 favs as well.

I too would choose the K 50 1.2 for the maiden voyage.

The SMC-M 50mm F1.7 that came with my ME Super. Full frame once again!

Likely followed by my A 24-50mm F4 or Voigtländer 120mm macro.

I'd really like to try the new Sigma 24mm 1.4 Art on the new FF. The new FF prob won't be around till late this year so I'm hoping to save enough money to get the new sigma eventually.

Not for store sale, least not right away, however you could buy it in canon mount and pay for the mount change service that Sigma has to K mount.

Only if they ever release it in K-mount, otherwise you're stuck with a Canon lens. 8-/

Really that sucks. I thought you could convert any lens via the service but I guess not.

On the plus side the Pentax FF isn't coming out for awhile, so lots of time for Sigma to change their minds
