I have absolutely fallen in love with my FA77, so that would go on first, then the 31 and then the 43...IF I can afford the FF and IF I consider it "absolutely essential". (Silver would be nice even tho my amigos are black)

First pic? My dog or something in my garden depending on what's in flower, or perhaps my dog in my garden.

My 31mm or my Voigtlander 125. Then I would ask them how it wells to be unleashed.

You ordered a body-only kit of the released announced FF body. It arrived. After unpacking the camera and inserting the half charged battery inside you must choose a lens from your collection to mount on it.

Which lens would you pick?

What will you photograph as IMGP0001.DNG/PEF/JPG?

Remember, you only have one chance at doing either of those two thing for the first time!

Personally, I would mount my FA 77mm Limited and take a picture of the nearest family member.
I have the Amigos in colored bags plus the '85 1.4, HD 15, A1.2 and the Tammy 70-200. Hard choice.

Samyang 8mm Fisheye - though the Pentax version is built for APS-C, right? So I guess I'll get tons of vignetting...

My very Special FA77, serial number 000077, and first picture of my dogs.
Was going to buy that, but the seller was asking too much. I compensated by getting his '31.

I would mount these without hesitation:

1. Zeiss T*Planar 85/1.4 ... that would be the first one and then ...
2. FA 31 Ltd
3. Cosina 55/1.2
4. Vivitar 135/2.8 Close Focus

But since I will not buy a FF camera ... they likely will all go for sale when this Pentax FF hits the market.

JP
well, just because its getting close to Christmas and I am in a giving mood, how about $200 for all 4 of them?

Why limit oneself to one ? In order of preference in my mind, these would be the first five lenses I would mount on the FF body -

1. FA 43mm F1.9 - Simply because no other lens is as well suited to be "normal" on a FF sensor
2. SMC A 50mm F1.2 - Purely for having fun with thin DOF
3. FA 31mm F1.8 - You need to check out your best lens on your best body
4. FA 77mm F1.8 - Why buy a camera if you cant take some good family portraits
5. D-FA 100mm F2.8 Macro - Simply because I love Macro's and DSLR scanning of all my film negatives

I just realized that I didn't put any zoom lens on the list. Rather than interpreting that as I am biased against zooms, lets just state that I think I need more and better zooms for the FF when it comes out.

Prithwijit

I'd throw my fa* 28-70 on, and probably redo the shot below. A lot of people dont like the weight, but I think this zoom has been worth every penny. I also had good use of it when I owned a Sony A7.

My modified reaction to Prithwijit's comments:

1. FA 77: Use this first to confirm my hope that my best lens will become even more useful with a shorter apparent FL. I have always wished I could use the "magic lens" more extensively for inside gatherings and small events without backing up and putting my back against the farthest wall--maybe now?
2. FA 31: Use this second to offset my fear that this FL will become too wide angle for daily use.
3. FA 43: Use this third to see if I can support my suspicion that it will become as useful as the 31 is now.
4. Canon FL 55, f 1.2 (adapted to K mount): Use this fourth just for fun and assurance that its 55 FL will become as useful as the 43 FL is now.
5. A 100 f 2.8 macro: To see how much better this great lens will become with shorter apparent FL, and to see if it will become an even better portrait lens.

I'm going to mount my Holga lens on it, and probably never take it off.

The HOLGA lens!

I didn't read all the pages. I hope I'm not too late to the party with that joke.

Sigma 70mm F2.8 will be the one on it for me, no others unless...... Well I could stuff the DA 12-24 F4 as 2nd choice but using from 18mm onwards though! F*300 F4.5 will be 3rd for zoo trips
