I think it will be the K-F1, in line with the K-S1 and the Q-S1, initial letter being lens format. I am thinking that the K-Wifi/Articulated might be the K-M1 for the midsize/midlevel model. Just think that Pentax changed the model numbering to S1 for a reason so they must be looking for uniformity amongst models.

Just a guess.

Regardless of what it's named; according to the official press release, it's not going to look like that.

I like the name "K-2" as it makes me think of Mount K-2, which makes me thing of a uber-rugged, all conditions, serious machine.

I know K2 has been used before, so if they do use it again it will likely be followed by a letter, maybe d or z.

Rubbish. It's going to be super ultra cool camera, so it has to be named Pentax F1 TURBO. Later (summer of 2016) Pentax will announce cheaper version called Pentax F1 GTi, which will become a legend because of its value and performance. GTi will be availible as limited edition with racing stripes in 467 colour variations. As eco fashion goes, in 2017 Pentax will produce Pentax Astron F1000 SUPER G. That will be the first solar powered FF DSLR with built in GPS.

PS: that's true.

K-2 is a snow ski company. I don't know they would do that due to legal issues. If they go on that route, what reason did they use as S1 naming rule ?

K2 corporation was founded in 1962. Pentax produced the K2 film camera from 1975 - 1980. I think they can get away with using K2 again.

Pentax stated the "S" products were being marketed to a different user base. S products are supposed to be different than the traditional Pentax line.

Z liczbami pojedynczymi - najbardziej zaawansowane. Zatem K- M1 czy K-F1 były by przeciw tej logice ( M - medium format to 645D i 645Z).
jcdoss już dawno tak mówią , a PENTAX robi swoje... Dlatego nie K-PUT lecz K-GO ! Bo FF może być dużym startem dla firmy.
