the transition will be easy on the $

BTW, looks like this will have auto-crop mode, and probably auto-selectable crop (1.5x, 1.2x, 3:2 etc) so "I can't use my DA lenses on it" shouldn't be a strong no-buy reason.

I won't buy a Pentax FF if it's released in 2015. Or 2016. Or likely even 2017. But at some point
3-4 years from now I'll probably feel the itch for a new body and will consider whatever offerings
are available. Second hand Pentax FF for ~$500 and whatever K-3 successor exists sounds like
a nice future to look forward to.

ditto.

I won't buy one until it actually exists. Probably not then either, at least for a few years. I honestly can't think of anything it would do that I can't already do with existing equipment.

I would probably buy a 645D before a "miniature-frame" 24x36 digital camera. Remember, the 135 format ("full-frame" to the APSC haters) was popularized for tourists because the little cameras and film were cheap to make, not because it was better for photography than existing formats.

If you want to be the first whiner around here, you need to get up pretty early.

Gasp. Of course you do, what on earth are cameras for except shallow depth of focus only one eye in focus shots?
What's really sad about such an over exaggeration is the people who say that did not have any problems getting both eyes in focus when they shot a FF film camera. Or perhaps all these old Pentaxians are really just photographic n00bs who only started photography with the advent of easy point and shoot digital DSLR cameras.

And another one: I will definitely NOT be buying it if it has no internal AF motor. Again, I doubt Pentax-Ricoh would pull a stupid that badly, but if, by any chance, they decide to go Canon on us and say "only motor ALL the lenses" I'll flip shit.

The other possibility is that it's a long running joke meant to, all in good fun of course, poke at certain members.

The 645D is a "miniaturized" frame of medium format. FF 645 film cameras were barely considered medium format due to its small size in many circles in the film days. And now we have a cropped version of a 645. And to give you an indication its size, look at the approximate normal lens for a given format:

35mm format = 50mm
cropped 645 = 55mm,
645 = 75mm
6x6 = 80mm
6x7 = 100mm

I also doubt that Ricoh would omit the AF screw drive motor. That would render the enter D-FA and FA Limited line of lenses obsolete. It's cheaper to put in a motor in one body than rework six lenses to include one.
