Sure you can use it in some limited capacity on FF but if look at most of the dx zooms in their lineup I bet you that at least 2/3 could cover the same limited capacity on FF

LOL! I see the words "Mounts: Canon Full Frame, Nikon Full Frame" right there in your own screenshot. Sorry, it's just that I own one and it works just fine on FF.

A fast 20mm that is superb wide open and focuses close.
A f.14 or f1.8 lens in the 80-90mm range.
A fast normal lens too, unless the existing DA* 55mm f1.4 proves to be a performer also on FF.

All of the above should be weather resistant, of course!

That's it I think. I would have zero use for 200mm or longer on a full frame and will in any case use APS-C for anything above 100mm. The idea is to have two bodies and use them in the areas that they are strong in.

If they are all *excellent* from wide open I would accept that, but I think the the 35 needs to be f/1.4 to give a point of difference from the FA31 - fast, but big and heavy = 35, compact with added pixie dust = 31.

1) Interior shots: architecture
2) Interior shots: people/activities
3) Environmental portraits with some subject isolation, 'pop'
4) Any other shallow DOF/WA application, non-people
5) Evening walkabaouts in which DOF doesn't matter (near hyperfocal) but shutter speed does
6) Use your imagination

I'd consider f/2.8 as reasonably fast and 14 mm as pretty UWA, especially on FF - the Samyang 14 mm f/2.8 offers both

That totally depends on what you want to do - the Samyang is one of the most popular lenses for night sky photography across all brands. I'm considering getting one for a trip to Namibia in summer and I assume there are many more Pentaxians who use the lens, not necessarily as an upgrade to the DA 15 though.

Thanks for the thoughtful comments, KDAFA. I believe you. I've seen many wonderful images captured with the 43. I should just get one for myself to get to know it personally, and understand it as you say, and likely fall in love with it. It's small, sharp, fast, has a great focal length and build, renders colors beautifully, and is priced well. When I said the occasional odd out of focus rendering is the main reason I haven't gotten it, it's pretty much the only hesitation I have, and it's a fairly minor nitpick.

People buy the Rokinon/Samyang 14/f2.8 because is a good performer, but most importantly cheap. There's almost no penalty in getting one. I'd like to meet the guy who sold his Da 15 for one though....but I'm not holding my breath on seeing volunteers anytime soon.

I'm good thanks, I can't afford what's out there already, either in price or size and weight. IF I get an FF, it will eat my lens budget for a few years....so I don't care what they produce.
