no more cr/pf on any * lenses!
macros don't really need to be that fast.... in macro we want more dof, so we want something with excellent built quality and good iq... and less diffraction at closed aperture

If Pentax aren't going to update the original FA limiteds then I think the following primes would be good to have at launch or variants there of:

30mm f/2.0
50mm f/1.4
85mm f/2.0

Don't have to be that fast but thereabouts

With the FA limited updated Pentax could go longer with a 200 and 300 lens but ultimately I think when launching a new system they need 'affordable' standard primes like the first three.

I am under the impression that the current 200mm and 300mm are FF compatible, so no need to hurry new ones.

They should need an 85mm f1.4 for sure.. thats one of the favorite lenses for portrait photographers, also a new 50mm f1.4.. .. the otherone could be a nice wide angle like a 20mm f1.4 or something like that.

We gonna need a 24-70 F2.8. Its getting kind of hard to harvest something really good on eBay, lol. And a 24-105 F4 for the kit.

I'd like to see
  1. 135/2.8 with an apodisation element.
  2. 24/2, sharp, creamy bokeh, no PF.
  3. 200/4 macro, can be MF.

3-5 pro-grade primes will be released next year. This year is zooms - and the body.

And there's new APSc bodies and lenses and 645 lenses. This year.

This isn't your father's Pentax.
My father's Pentax was a full lineup of professional quality lenses/cameras/accessories at reasonable prices in a great system.

There is so many good existing primes that i don't need to wish for. I also prefer zooms in some areas.

My wishlist:
- Very wide angle large aperture prime for nightscapes and aurora: 10, 12 or 14 mm f/2,0 or 2,8
- Lightweight tele: 600mm f/5,6 asymmetric mirror lens (yolo) with AF, ND filter wheel for aperture simulation and drop in CPL.

Let me also add one optical wish for the camera: Tiltable OVF for convenient tripod viewing of aurora, nightscapes, birding etc.

Yolo indeed, quite some ideas, I doubt Pentax would do something that exotic

To compete with their lightweight DA 560 ƒ5.6 that currently sells for $7000? That would be beyond dumb.

Lightweight? It weights 3 kg! and have a center of mass approximately 35 cm! from the camera body, and you need at least a 60 cm long camera bag just to carry it mounted on the camera. And its 7000$! Thats crazy!

I'm talking about a 1 kg lens that is 15 cm long, has center of mass close to the camera mount, and cost 1/10 of the 560mm. Not to mention the DA 560 is officially an APS-C lens and will definitively be optical superior to the yolo.

They will be very far from competing.

You should try the FA* 600/4. It is close to 7kg and very front heavy. A 3kg lens is handholdable IMO.
