thanks for this! " It was therefore a good micro contrast without very contrasting clichés as some Zeiss ZM goals. The shots are more homogeneous between light areas and shadow areas." This is what I love about FA limiteds

I read your "why i left pentax for sony" oped. I wonder if you're going to purchase the new pentax FF when it comes out..

Its good to see posts that show that the Pentax lenses are still performing well on digital FF, quelling some of the 'big theories' that has been thrown around here on PF that the lenses don't work well (and that Pentax is doomed).

Totally agree with you on the Pentax 50/1.2.
Its probably the smallest of the 50mm f1.2 out there among the brands and one of the more 'balanced' wrt the bokeh, doing rather well in most situations.

Some people tout the Rokkor 58/1.2, but its totally over rated imo and the bokeh can be very bad in quite a few situations too (esp at half body focus distances ).

I also read your article about leaving Pentax, which I feel kinda sad about.
Pentax/Ricoh fault imo, with the dragging of feet and non-commitment up until this year.
Many good photographers were lost while they laughed it off at each Pentax interview.

Thanks for sharing. I continue to be someone who is not impressed by the FA 43 output. The look from the pictures just isn't what I look for, and that's something I've been noticing for a while now. It's the one Pentax lens I just "don't get".

Now I saw the one you did with the FA 31 on the A7. That one, I really liked I also saw you did some good work with the DA 15 back when you still had Pentax bodies.

Thanks for sharing this!

Possibly new people (potential clickbaiters) aren't allowed to post links?

Don't be so coy, Eisenheim.

I looked at your first page and it has commercial links to Amazon on it that you make money from.

Is there a rule on this forum against this?
I mean, all websites/blogs will have commercial links, right?

I don't click on any such links when I visit any site, since I buy when I need to and don't do so 'casually'

There is in fact a rule which was pointed out to him multiple times.

That was probably an understatement.
