Pentax FF essential features

I would like to list the features that I use on a camera that makes my life easier and will have an impact on whether I would purchase a Pentax FF:

1. Tilt screen, not a flip out.
2. Focus points that cover the screen.
3. Light weight, not too bulky.
4. Manual focus aids like focus peaking.
5. Image stabilisation.

After using a mirrorless camera, the above features became so useful that I only missed the image quality, shallow DOF, high ISO and battery life of a DSLR, nothing else. The Sony A7II (Amazon $1498 ATM) has most of these features, except for a good battery life.

If Pentax can deliver on the above features as well as an enthusiast-friendly price of < $1600, I will be first in line for a new FF :-)

Regards
Bernard

What he said...Noted, recorded, and forwarded on to Ricoh for positive response.

Do we have any more requests?

2,4 and 5, plus clean high ISO images and I can put up with anything else like weight or bulk and even a hefty price tag.

Outis, you have to think about whether you really want a pony. Most kids get one, then they are bored with it after a few weeks. Like a lot of camera enthusiasts with their latest toys really.

Many would say these were important features, too, Bernard.

1. Even money bet
2. Prepare to be disappointed
3. One out of two ain't bad
4. That's a given
5. Ditto

You guys are funny Thank you for the comments.

@Outis, did you mean 'Sony' instead of 'pony'?

@Sandy, I think you nailed it.

@Billk, Ricoh will make a gold plated one just for you :-)

@Stevebrot, if you don't ask... (you may not get what you want).

@enoeske, glad you agree.

@clackers, they are important, agreed, but they are also expected features due to the DSLR architecture, sensor type / size, and the bigger body / battery.

Clean high ISO, clean high ISO, AF tracking on video, tilting or flipping or whatever screen, and not to forget, clean high ISO.

No. "Me upon my Sony on my boat" would make for a really weird song!

<£100 Starting price, no AE, no AF. Mechanical shutter and aperture operation. Low battery requirements. Interchangeable sensor.

This is my top-list of features I like to have. If not at least 5 of them are included on the upcoming FF I might have to jump ship.

1. On/Off function manually controlled by a switch.
2, Shutter that is engaged by a button on top of the camera.
3, Variable shutter speed that can be manually set, but also set to auto,
4, Aperture that can be manually controlled on the camera, but also set to auto.
5. Variable ISO that also have a auto function.
6. Exposure compensation function that can be used when shutter speed, aperture or ISO is set to auto,

That's a tough set of criteria.
