Any info on price point whatsoever?

I'm currently sitting on 3,000 of various Pentax stuff and just wondering if anyone has a clue about the price point and how much I'll have to sell.

Ricoh do. Not sure who else would have the slightest idea for a camera that hasn't even had a working prototype shown. Is there a single bit of evidence that a Pentax FF camera body actually exists in anything other than an .stl file?

Historically, Pentax has taken a completely different approach to pricing bodies, vs pricing lenses. Their bodies tend to undercut the competition in terms of features and price. The lenses...uh, not so much (which is why I don't own any Pentax lenses). To me, Sigma is the "Pentax" of lenses...offering more for less.

As far as the FF, I'm hoping that Pentax continues their tradition of being the value leader. That's what made me sell my brand-new pre-ordered Canon T2i several years back, and buy a K-x.

Rumors are saying it will cost more than $900 and less than $8000, fitting in nicely between the K3II and 645z.

Price point on the new FF? - There must be a thousand posts on that in the various threads here, if any of them know anything, how would you know to believe it? I predict the price will be . . . . . . announced when the camera name is. The market will decide the price of used gear. I doubt many will sell their current gear to go only full frame, but I've been wrong many times before and will be wrong many times again. I think most that go into it will be keeping their APS-C gear and/or maybe slowly replacing it if at all. But maybe a little downturn in the used market. we're already seeing some Pentaxians only buying FF lenses. There may be some sell offs of other systems FFs from people that want to get back to Pentax only.

If the price is above 2400usd, im off the FF wagon, im not a pro and i cant justify more than that. Maybe a Sony A7 for FF or a new lens and wait the K3ii succesor or a cheaper FF Pentax version.... but my bet is beetween 1800usd to 2800usd

Whatever it will be you can count on it falling and dropping as time goes on. I'm not too worried.

I may not be an early adopter but I will be an adopter one day.
