Actually, 70/80-200/2.8 is THE classical full frame tele zoom.
Variants (50-135 for APSC or 35-100 for FourThirds) have been made for smaller sensor cameras, but at full 70-200, all lenses of this zoom range (Canon, Nikon, Pentax, Sony, Sigma, Tamron) are full frame.
The Pentax DA* 60-250/4 is close to this range and its original patent is for full frame indeed. However, it is weaker than average (although not unusable) on full frame corners, compared to a classical 70-200 zoom. I'd like to see Pentax adjust its optical design (remove the APSC optimization) and release a DFA* 60-250/4. Because that's a lens missing from other systems and the corresponding 70-400s are all heavier.
