So what would turn you off from buying the new Pentax FF

With all the rumors and requests out there let's change the subject a bit (maybe Pentax Ricoh are listening???). What would put you off from buying the FF. For me it comes down to one feature that Pentax just can't get right and I hope with the new FF they get it right. If they do t come out with a fast and super accurate AF system for me I won't be buying. I find there AF to be terrible and if they don't do anything about it with the FF I may have to say goodbye

I won't buy it if it sucks.
But it won't.

That too. I should have said "if it sucks for the price".
But it won't.

Money. It will be far beyond my budget.

I have a nice set of zoom lenses which will work on FF already, but I´d have to save money for years to afford the camera, don´t even know if I´ll get there, before the first model is discontinued.

Furthermore I´d definitely wait for reviews, only an improved low light performance and a fast AF would justify the purchase for me. The AF of the KS-2 is pretty fast, so I don´t think, that the Pentax FF will fail on this.

Only 2 conditions I won't buy :

1. Too expensive. My budget is at D750 to D610 price since I'm just a hobbyist who don't make money from my photography. If its too expensive then I'll just wait 1yr for the price to go down.
2. If its too big. If its D810, D750 sized, then very likely its not my style of camera.

Considering that some reports say that the FF is K3 sized with a larger prism hump I am optimistic about #2.
I'd expect pricing to be between D610 and D750 given Pentax model positioning and pricing in the past for apsc.
So keeping my fingers crossed.

file size.

Is already a problem for me with the k3. Storage, up/download times, edit times in various software....

- Early reports of bugs (eg in firmware) and hardware problems (eg sensor stains). Pls Pentax, get it right the first time.
- Reports/tests of poor IQ (especially in low-light) and performance (eg AF);
- Excessively high price.
- Incompatibility with current Pentax accessories (eg K-5/K-3 battery type, flash)
- Dramatic control layout/ ergonomic/ UI changes (which will make shooting alongside the K-3 awkward);

No significant DR increase over the current 14bit output of our top aps-c models. If it doesn't offer a clear DR gain at a good range of ISOs then probably not worth the extra money for me ... I'd be better upgrading to the latest K3 type, at a bargain price, and maybe spending on some modern glass.....

I was always wondering what really makes FF so expensive? The sensor size? don't think so! I think it's all about marketing. So I think FF pentax will be much cheaper and much more cool than canon nikon. Go Pentax!

Can't think of any seriously...I wanted to say "price", but how much is too much? Can't really tell...more than D650 Nikon or 60D Canon?

I think that the price will be around $1,500, no flash, no 4k video, maybe there will be two seperate models of FF Pentax in the future.

If it isn't a Pentax, which isn't likely. (It's a Pentax, Jim, but not as we know it…)
