For those few who dont speak russian the article says that the camera is going to have
-36 mp sony sensor
-No aliasing filter
-5 axis IS
-super resolution mode
-diffraction correction
-x0.78 viewfinder
-14 bit Prime IV engine
-crop mode to use da lenses
That sounds remarkably similar to a certain
fake slide.

Obviously, if you're going to buy an off the peg sensor from Sony, you are limited to what they produce, and this is the best reason for believing that the camera will be a conventional FF- but I have measured the rear LCD on the early FF mock-up and it has a 5:4 ratio. Now I know that you can't read across from LCD shape to sensor shape automatically - they might intend histograms or whatever to be below the playback image not to overlay it, for example - but up to now, the rear LCD has been the same shape as the sensor, so it's at least worth giving a moment's thought to, imo - 5x4 is a classic photographic ratio that can still be cropped to 3:2 or whatever you want. I haven't seen a flat on image of the under-glass model LCD, so I can't measure that.
Aaaand... the text was updated. No more "SRL", no more "Petnax" (I'll miss that one!), "PENTAX is launching a full frame digital SLR, brand-new format
for PENTAX."
It's perfectly normal to talk about their rich history, it's actually abnormal not to. IMHO.
