But we'll have to wait and see!
Based on advertised lens sales at B&H and Adorama I assumed MAP was quietly dropped or just being ignored for months. The $388 I paid for a new DFA 100 macro WR doesn't seem MAP-compliant, nor does the current $399 for a DA 15 HD Limited. The 16-50 has been in the $700+ range for months, well below $1000+ at the official Pentax web store.

The 100 and 16-50 might be clearance prices to make way for HD models but the 15 is already HD.

Holding out for FF. No lenses needed either. Don't use all that I have.

Just bought a K3 combo from adorama a few months ago, so, nothing for me, but a nice price on a 55-300wr maybe change my plans...

FF ist not in my list for now (not enough funds) but maybe mid-late 2017.

It's already down to $259.99. How much lower can it go? That's what I paid for a gray market DA L in 2010.

No, I have more than I need at present as far as body (K-5IIs) or lenses go. I'm telling myself that I'll save any money for the new releases until Black Friday 2016 and then splurge.
We'll see.

I doubt the 150-450 will drop into anything attractive,
it's a bit of a dilemma for pentax, i think that they at least need to have a black friday sale on that glass, just to help retain market share.

tamron and sigma have whored out the pricing on their 150-600mm offerings so much that it's changed the market perception of what long zooms should really cost.

tamron in particular has been throwing $70 rebates at that lens every month? and buydig was blowing 'em out for $825 brand new, so it was $779 after the rebate: http:///newsearch.php?forumchoice%5B%5D=30&q=150-600&showposts=0

when you can get a much longer zoom for ~$900+ less than what pentax offers, where is the incentive to stay with k-mount? throw the money you save at a canikon ff body.

Overhere the Nikon D7200 plus their 200-500mm/f5.6 lens is 600 euro less then thè K-3ii with 150-40mm. So there are options to go cheaper.

Not buying any new gear on the Black Friday, not even sure when that is as we already had Thanksgivings.

I recently lost the lens cap for my DA70 and ordered a new one. Might need to go to gofundme to pay for it.

I have 11 full frame lenses but I wouldn't be buying a ff. I will be in the market for a K-3 during Black Friday sales and a used k-3 or k-5iis in the spring when the ff is released (hoping to get a bargain). Full frame will have to wait until prices come down considerable. I figure the K-3 with K-5iis backup will serve my needs for the foreseeable future.

wow, that lens is longer, faster, and hundreds of $$$ cheaper than the pentax 150-450.

i'd like to see shootout with the pentax lens in the mix.

I can see a DFA24-70/2.8 in my future, but I'll probably wait until the K-1 is released.
Pretty happy with what I have really.

I bought the K3II to replace my pentax camera and lenses that were taken during a burglary, Bought two good lenses for the K3II. I'm in a wait and see mode with the FF. Like someone mentioned in an early post, more often than not, a new product usually has issues that will surface. I have the money set aside for the FF and FF lenses; however, I don't see buying either anytime soon. I'm going to wait and let the FF mature, as I'm perfectly content with the K3II.
