Beats me too...but they keep coming! It gives Otis something to do in the winter months, so it's not all bad!

Regards!

The original post - who knows - the silliness and mayhem that follows - just blowing off steam - for the new steam powered camera of course.

I get steam. Sometimes I even get steamed.

It might be too much to ask of a weather-resistant body, that the sensor could be liquid-cooled to get longer exposures, mightn't it?

I heard the other day that camera is going to have dials that go to 11, 10% better than the 10 of most cameras.

The K-1 will be powered by lutefisk and an optional fermented walrus pack. The delays are because of the problems integrating these power sources. I have heard that the Japanese are consulting with Finns and Norwegians, who have referred them to native experts on the north coast of Greenland. Which of course was never green, but was a real estate scam by Eric the Red.

To me it seems that the Pentax FF teasing pumped up beyond maximum is kind of falling flat.
I can live with the wait, but i want to know what i'm waiting for.. I have a sincere interest in a Nikon FF with 2 sigma Art primes for it...

It is a mistake to judge interest in a camera based on "forum buzz."

Trust me, when the camera comes out, this forum will wake up for a month analyzing it and the photos from it and speculating on whether Pentax will break out a second full frame that is cheaper/more expensive/more targeted at wildlife/has a built in flash. Certainly not everyone will be happy, but that goes without saying, doesn't it?

Some of us will never be happy regardless of what Pentax do, and they will go to fill the ranks of my ignore list.

I could make up a long list of Pentax cameras and lenses that just don't push my buttons if I wanted to, but hey, some of them do - and those are the ones I buy and use. The others I just ignore, or at the very least I don't waste several paragraphs going on and on about how stupid and useless Pentax/Ricoh/Hoya/Asahi/whatever were for ever making them.

Honestly, I'm not interested in all that "boys" talk about what FF will be since it's been announced already. I'm waiting for the actual camera discussion and tests.
