one could say the logic behind this topic is dangling by a thread...

So, spring is right around the corner? I am heavily invested in Pentax, K5, K3, 645D, 645Z, a dozen less. I have reached the age where I need to lighten the load. Personally I would prefer to remain with Pentax. It has served me well over the years. I have been watching the progress of the full frame camera. While it appears that Pentax is taking the time to ensure that it is right when it comes to market, there's always something out there that is a temptation to jump ship. I'm going to try to hold it a little longer, no promises!

Reminds me of a book I read recently "40 Yards to the Outhouse" Coauthored by Willie Makit & Betty Wont

Hurry up spring!

Well, I don't think that temptation to jump ship will change ever, just because of there is always something new and exciting coming...and that is way they want to make it happen. It is business...

about what is being discussed at here, I think that logic might be there. Not much to be discussed thou. It was fun to see some plausible samples with K-1 and 24-70...which you could read between the lines from that website. and will it be 42 mp sensor...? it is interesting too.

Here is another bit of interesting information.

Some of you may know the Japanese rumor website デジカメinfo (Digicam Info).
In a post dated 01/24/2016 "ペンタックスのフルサイズ機「K-1」は2月18日に発表?", a reader commented that a Japanese landscape
photographer Toshiki Nakanishi (中西敏貴) posted a photo with EXIF saying "PENTAX K-1 Ver.0.99". The picture was posted on Nakanishi's
blog on 1/29/2016, but, unfortunately, has been removed.

I guess it is perhaps not surprising that, as K-1's official release is coming, we may stumble across K-1's sample photos here and there on the net....

Original thread on digicam-info.com:
??????????????K-1??2?18????? - ????info

Check the second comment from the bottom by "kirin".

This indicates that they are nearing full production of the camera, this is almost point release firmware.

A very good looking, well composed image.

Doesn't reveal much about the camera, but it does indicate that the camera has found it's way into image artist hands. Which bodes well for future sample photos.

Wow! Thanks! How did you manage to dig this out? That is a pretty nice shot! Not sure the level of post-processing,
but it sure does look like K-1 has a good range of DR. Really looking forward to its official release.

Some creative googling Google holds a snapshot of most pages in its cache, which I assume facilitates searches etc. It can be accessed like so:

So, how did that reader knew that the photo was going to be posted 5 days after his post?

Perhaps I didn't say it clearly. The blog was posted on 1/24/2016.
The comment to the blog post was left on 1/29/2016, same day as the photo was taken down.

this might be another one. He normally shoots with a k3II and add that to every landscape photo on that blog. But didn't do it with this one. Pure speculation off course.
