Yes some exceptions are not produced any longer, but most are readily available somewhere in shops. If you find some errors, keep them. No whining in this thread.

Add 2-3 new Pentax primes this year plus at least the Laowa 100mm F2 lens.
How is the SMC DA 50mm F1.8 a full frame compatible?? isnt it just APSC??
from what I've heard it has an image circle suitable for APSCs.

The design covers the FF image circle. There are some test shots available on the forum that confirm this. Same as the DA 35 f2.4.

Even that they are not complete full-range FF lenses, the DA 12-24mm is usable from 18mm and DA 16-45mm is usable from 20mm.

I might switch over from Canon and I use the 16-35 f4 alot and will mostly be shooting landscapes. Does pentax have a FF wide angle for this camera?

New 15-30 f/2.8 coming very soon (rebadged and reworked Tamron AFAIK), but very, very pricey. In terms of older lenses, the FA 20-35 may suit your purposes if you can find one, or there's the FA-J-18-35. I can't think of anything wider from Pentax off the top of my head (that isn't a fisheye) - you have to go to APS-C or back into the manual-focus era for that.

Wow, this is absolutely fantastic! Thanks for taking the time to build this compilation.
Most of the comments I read over in Germany is... these old lenses (legacy) will not be able to handle these 36 Mpix Sensor information. But I thought that the film era could be compared to much much more Mpix. can one say that the film grain and development of film can be compared to ____ Megapixel?

As mentioned, you have the following new:
D-FA 15-30mm f2.8 (based on the Tamron) as your only new option.
Used, there are the following WA Zooms (off the top of my head)
Pentax FA 20-35mm f4
Pentax J 19-35mm
Pentax F 17-28 fisheye
Sigma 12-24mm f4.5-5.6 (not sure if the HSM version was ever in PK mount)
Sigma 15-30mm f3.5-4.6
I can't think of any other AF WA Zooms in PK mount.

I updated the new Pentax lenses, corrected the FA 31 and added the two new Laowas.

In practice 35 mm film is about 20 Mpixels per frame - on a good day, with good ISO100 film and careful development. Usually much less. Of course since each grain is a different shape and size, in theory you could keep on enlarging down to atomic level ...

grazie mille! This sounds intesting. I thought it would be much much more
then 24 Mpix ought to be enough for everyone

I've shot it on the A7, others on film, and it's fine. Ricoh say the DA14,15 and 21 work only in cropped mode. The other primes are known to work.

Do the comment makers realise the pixel density is no different from that of the K-5 people have shot for years? ☺

this whole FF subject is completely new to me...
So you think these old lenses will make a good image quality on the K1? I have ASAHI 28 f2.8 and 50 f1.7. When I read those pessimist I think these lenses will only produce some blurry washy washy images. But as I said, I don't know. I have a K1000 made some Films with the 50mm and I was blown away by the quality of these shots...

I posted this in the other thread, but I guess it would be appropriate here, for completeness sake. Some were already listed in the first post and throughout the thread. These are some "Other brands" that also sell K-mount lenses. These might not have AF or auto-aperture, but they are FF:

QuoteOriginally posted by Na Horuk Quote
Horus Bennu has a 50mm f1.7 for Pentax K, but it is like M series lenses (no AF, no A)
Zenitar makes some lenses that are still sold in Pentax K (50mm prime, but also some telephoto zooms I think). I think you can get the new Helios 85mm in K mount, as well as that brass Petzval 85mm lens.
Mitakon has some FF lenses for Pentax K, but these are fully manual (basically a preset manual aperture)
Holga has some K lenses, but it is arguable whether they are FF (as some are rather low quality even on APSC, but they are also sold for FF mounts). There are some thread about these. Some are for K mount and some for Q.
Then there are those Samyang and other mirror and telescope super telephotos (500mm and more; with preset aperture and fairly bad IQ for most of them)
Lensbaby makes some things, but I think those are a whole system unto themselves.
Venus Laowa has some interesting stuff coming up.
Arsat (Arax?) makes some lenses still in K mount and m42, I think.
Schneider Kreuznach, as well.
And what is that German rebadge company, Görlitz? Its not the same as the good old fashioned Görlitz (someone just bought that old company name to cash in on their reputation), many lenses are just Mitakon rebadges. But still.
There are some pinholes, as well. Skink makes some, but many are "no name" and can be only found on ebay or such sites.
