Live view LV button looks like it is back side top left.

Regarding the suspect electrical contacts (most likely, or focusing screen catch, or…?) behind the top of the lens mount- this gets interesting- check out this page of a sister thread:

(sorry- I thought this would drop in as a live link)

Me thinks it won't be busy at all. Since everyone and anyone will know the specs, there will be no speculations and wild guesses to quarrel about. Just correct info. How utterly boring, might as well go out and take photos with my shining new K1 as a pastime.

I'm going with electronic aperture contacts for a 'Zero Focal Length' adapter, to enable you know what with 'K' and 'M' lenses.
That dream is dead. Give it up.

I still can hope for stop-down on the half press.

It will be like this:

D750 is faster
No it isn't
Yes it is
No it isn't
Yes it is. I rented one. You have tunnel vision.
Sony!!
Yeah, sure buddy. What lens did you use?
VR II vs. FA*
SONY!!!
Well there you go. Screwdrive! Get the HD D-FA and make it fair!
137 AF points! 98 cross type!
Software! Their AF sensor is 4 years old. Ours is newer!
SONY!
Shut up, SONY. We're talking Autofocus here.

D750? K-1 is targeted at D810.
D810???!!! HAH!! Dude, it's a Pentax! They couldn't sell two if it was priced more than $2,000.
Well BORISCLETO YOU then.

Etc.

And then you will have the quiet kind of guy (or girl) that does not post that much in this part of the forum trying to filter out some useful information.

Asahi Man I think, said it is the clip to hold the focusing screen in place. But that seems overly complicated for a screen clip.
That sounds like the usual pentax hardware quirk we all know and love. Pentax could make paperclips complicated.

I can already see the D750 vs K-1 threads coming up every 5 minutes lol.

Hopefully the next FF can compete with whatever comes after the D5 and 1DX though.

Cheers
Ricoh will not make a D5/1DX competitor. The market is not big enough for them and they would never get their money back. If they make another body, look for one a step down from this one.

What I'm hoping for is this upcoming FF breathes life into Pentax that will demand for top of the line performance down the road.

Kind of like how Luxury cars were at one point all about BMW and Mercedes but you look at the success of, for example, Hyundai, shaking things up bringing out the Equus. Although most car enthusiasts don't pay much attention to them, Hyundai has a niche following that supplies that demand among certain followers..

I don't see why Ricoh can't do the same thing but it's baby steps. Although Pentax is late with the FF this should breathe life into the brand and translate into more positives.

"Because that's the way Pentax made it. If you don't like it, shut the heck up and buy a different camera."

I have a feeling my Ignore button is going to see a lot of use after Thursday.

I know, my Ignore list is a desolate empty space. I wish we could set conditional keywords that would automatically block users - like posters who use words like "equivalence" and "virtual aperture"

That depends, do you want to lose your mind, or keep it where it is?
