The video also asks the question why Pentax would make a FF since they do crop so well, and you can do just about anything you can do on FF on a crop sensor. Now there is a statement which has started many an argument around here.

It for the guys who want just one eye in focus, That's a valuable conceit in some types of photography.

Yes, this camera has awesome specs, but as Mike Johnston writes, that peak in the hump harkens back to the glorious Spotmatics of another age.

He says: "The body style reminds me of a Land Rover. Tough, macho and ready for anything, with a beefy grip to hang on to. Clearly it take cues from the K-5 and its descendants, as well as providing echoes of Pentaxes past. Pentax knows how to design camera bodies, arguably above all other makers. Its best are a cut above."

The 'Hey Kitty' set would have been delighted by the Q and K-01. ☺

? ? ?

---------- Post added 02-23-16 at 06:22 AM ----------

As you can read everywhere that there will be a 645 (and maybe a 67) adapter:

Any info on this? Seperate thread?

Does anybody have the slightest about the 645 adapter for the K-1 ? will it have an AF motor so it drives all lenses? Will it be weather sealed?

An example of what can go wrong definitely is the Sony LAEA4... it offers so much for such a small price (around 250$) incl. AF improvements and a translucent mirror, but i couldnt believe it when i saw that they forgot to make it WR....
LOL
One rubber gasket on the back of the adapter would have maybe done the trick, as there are no moving parts on the outside of this adapter... but no... all the fine sealed lenses from Sony for the A-mount, useless when it starts raining, except you dont care about sending a camera back to repair because water trickled between the adapter and the lens mount of your A7....
crazy... i hope that doesnt happen with the AF 645 to K Adapter...

Would be a shame if you want to mount your HD Pentax-D FA 645 90mm F2.8 ED AW SR Macro on your new K-1 with your shiny adapter and you realize that it is missing the sealing, and now you can feed the AW signature of your 4200Dollar lens to the fishes...
