DA* 55 on FF

I know that DA* 55 is not 100% compatible with FF but are there any sample pics at f/1.4 or just wait till Pentax FF release?

According to this, it's compatible. Very compatible.

The issue is with the hood as I understand. Maybe there will be a separate full frame hood for sale for the DA*55?

Worth the wait? A look inside the Pentax K-1: Digital Photography Review

Base on here, it needs to be stopped down but it's really meaningless for 1.4 prime lens.

Only 200, 300, and 560 are fully functional.

You mean this 2012 post?

If not convinced, see here: http://erphotoreview.com/wordpress/?p=4563

Characteristically, this lens is almost the same as the $1700 Nikkor 58mm f/1.4G, and before you say “but that is a full frame lens”, I will answer with “So is the DA* 55mm f/1.4”. The DA* 55mm lens completely covers a full frame image circle with a high level of correction.

Aren't all 50mm lenses (Pentax, Canon, Nikon) FF compatible?

On A7, my DA55 has zero problem. sharper than FA 50/1.4, and much more so in the corners.
I will not worry about the FF capability of this lens, unless the SR moves the sensor to the extreme corners of the image circle.

I've also tested the lens on a Sony A7 series camera and it was fine wide open. Don't remember if the hood was on or not (elements are so recessed into the lens anyway...) Might there be something specific to the K-1 that could make it less compatible? I suppose anything is possible. But I can't imagine what it would be.

I am personally counting on this to be my "normal" lens on the K-1 so... I guess I am hoping I am right :-)

That's why someone should buy Pentax FF camera for testing!

I just had to test on the K-1 now..seems to work like a charm. Tested with and without the hood. No difference.

Any raw sample images at F1.4 of infinity and close shot?

I remember a bunch of threads that show it as acceptable. There might be some vignetting, but that is not uncommon for compact f1.4 lenses.
