It has 1 stop better ISO performance. So the "I think it will be equal at best" statement is more negativity from you then 100% true fact. Especially when you haven't event tried and used the K-1 yet.
The problem is that it sounds too good to be true.
So until proven otherwise I too will keep my expectations on the ground, that is, I expect similar performance as from D810 from iso 100 and upwards. Better than that would be very surprising, but I hope you are right though.
