Any K-1 high ISO comparison to other cameras?

I've seen a few high ISO samples, but I'm wondering if there are any with the same scene shot through the K-1 vs K-5, D800, or other cameras.

I don't think we'll see much of that until after the camera is available in the marketplace. Even then it'll be awhile before DxO can take its measurements. Just my $0.02.

For a teaser, this thread has some pictures taken with a 645Z as high as ISO 102,000. The K-1 has the same ISO specs as the 645Z, it's plausible the K-1 can offer similar results in a smaller image.

Soon as people start getting the camera I'm sure there will be lots of comparison to everything. But what I've noticed over the last several years is the ever increasing expectations of a big jump in the sensor tech but we typically see only incremental improvements as we march forward.

What I ideally would want to see is dim, low-ambient light, high-ISO samples.

Like you might get indoors at a candle-lit gig in a bar, or an old church-interior where you aren't allowed to use flash, or a night-time rural rodeo where you still have to shoot at 1/250 (and above) at f2.8 even though the light is poor, resulting in ISO 12800 images. Scenes that make the sensor really work.

Studio samples (dpreview, imaging resource comparometer, etc) where they use very bright continuous lighting on a studio test scene, whilst adjusting camera ISO, don't tell the same high-ISO story as scenes fed by minimal light, I believe.

Well, i work at metal concerts..So lucky if i get to use less then ISO3200

Will post pics with the 3200-12 800 range when I'm allowed too do so.

Interesting. I find that past 1600 it goes downhill quickly. So 6400 is usable. Nice.

Meanwhile, if you take the K-1 to work, please post your verbal veredict (compared to K-3 and your Nikon gear -if you still remember how those worked for you :P)

As i said further up, it looks two stops better then K-3II with this firmware (0.38). So i expect it to be a bit better with finished firmware. Its some time since i used Nikon now, but its better then my long time favourite D700. Will compare to my friends D810 when firmware is 100%
