Just as the title asks, anybody have thoughts on what the price of the k1 may be around the holiday season? I guess a lot depends on the reception of the new camera, but could one assume it may come down in price closer to the holiday season. Any thoughts?

Ricoh doesn't really link price drops to the holidays, except to clear out older and end-of-life products. K-1 prices will probably be slightly lower in a few months after the "new adopter tax" expires, but don't expect a lot, especially if demand is high. The K-1 is already considered a great value.

Don't put a lot of weight into price guesses on this site. Despite the fact that we had a rumor with some weight behind it of a $1900 opening price for the K1, most around here dismissed that and said it would be several hundred higher. Admins included. Turns out that was actually a smidge high!
