Pentax K-1 in Vietnam

I feel lucky having a chance to play with the production K-1 in Vietnam. It just arrived last night.

Can you comment on how the FA 20-35 worked on the K-1?

Nice! Let us know how it is in turns of image quality, Dynamic range, ISO and AF performance. Very interested to know how is the new AF system like in turns of AF speed, accuracy and continuous tracking.

Curious about the image quality using this lens if you had the opportunity to try it.

I am not a reviewer. Additionally, it's hard to judge ISO, IQ, AF... after a few minutes of playing inside the local store. I think professional reviewers will post their articles soon. Generally, the body and buttons feel very good on my hands. Live View AF and Face Detection are fast. Many local Pentax users wanted to buy it immediately, but we must wait.

Very lucky . Thanks for the information - it is good to know that Pentax are starting to ship demo models to shops.

I suspect waiting until April is going to be hard for many people.

Thank you for sharing your experience with the camera.

What was your impression of the shutter sound compared to K-3?

i would like to hear your general thoughts about the camera. How would you compare it from every-usage to the apsc models?

To me, if we have FA lenses, especially the three amigos, this FF model is must-have, otherwise the APS-C model is good enough.

I feel that it is smoother.

Not me... have pre ordered.... and any excitement I have is perfectly negated by the fear of my wife finding out!

The image taken by K-1 and FA 20-35/F.4 is very sharp and clean even in low light at F:4 . I think this len is good replacement for DFA 15-30/F 2.8 .

Today I tried again with DA* 60-250. RAW image is clear and sharp even at ISO 12800 (Auto ISO). We can see dark corners at 200+ F/4, but they disappears at F/8. AF is very accurate. AF points are bigger than those of K-3, their thickness is reduced a bit if activated.

The store reminded that we are not allowed to upload pictures taken by this camera.
