Hands on with the Pentax K-1

This week I had the chance to some initial impressions with the K-1.
A small report can be found on my website

Short version: I love it :-)

Even though the write-up is based on the preproduction model, it is joy to hear from fellow Pentaxian that Ricoh/Pentax delivers a solid above class FF camera; well written hands on review, thanks for sharing.

I wish I could share larger versions of the files. It really is a joy to watch them on 100% :-)
Apart from that the handling of the camera is as we know it so all attention can go out to getting that shot instead of controlling the camera!

Thanks for sharing. I have toyed with the idea of using Pentax for my wildlife due to the weather sealing but have never been able to go for it. Do you feel like the k1 focus is better than k3?

Nicely written, oh and those photos! I've been waiting to see some amazing samples taken by pro photographer and all I can say now is that I'm impressed, can't wait to get this beast on my hands.

The autofocus must be at least on par with the K-3 and I have no hesitation to give praise for the wildlife and outdoor possibilities of the K-1. it's sealing is a strength indeed, but also the ruggedness of the body and the fact you can take 700+ images with a single battery charge.

nice review Mike.
BTW, what store did borrow you the camera? And did they tell you when the K-1 will be expected there?

Mike when able it would be nice to see some of the images a full Rez. Your image of the deer is the sharpest I have seen yet from the dfa 150-450.
