Pentax K1 delivered! Pictures with lenses.

28th april 2016. K1 delivered in FRANCE!

BRAVO PENTAX!
You did it!

The dream is finally reality. Come on Canikon, the battle just begins!

I fear until the last minute that the delivery would be delayed, but I guess my order was finely handled.e

I just went to my local photo shop who were kind enough to call me to say the K1 arrived even though it was 17h30...
Well, the battery is charging and it's already evening. I guess tomorrow is a good shooting day for sure!

Handling is very nice. It's a chunky grip in hand, but secure and stable. Look small from afar, but when you hold it, it's a nice little brick.

I still need to set the options. Will report later! Here are some pics OF the K1 with a small sample of the lenses that await to be tested.

Ooh, I do love your lens collection. And that RMC Tokina looks just like the one I've got, so I'll be REALLY interested to know how it turns out.

Congratulations on your new K-1, and enjoy shooting!

(PS: Why wait till morning? The highest ISO is pretty high, and we all want to know what the quality will be like if we ever need to go there.)

Pretty compact for a full frame camera: small but fully packed camera body.

Oooh! A SMC-FA*24mm

I am really looking forward to trying out my FA*24mm on my yet-to-arrive K-1
I was out last weekend with that lens mounted on my MZ-S, shutter-bugging about at the local airplane & car show,
thinking about what the view through the K-1's viewfinder would be like.

Way to go Ricoh for making a really compact FF DSLR. I'm amazed by the comparison to the GH4, it really isn't much bigger at all.

Pure envy! Lucky you, I'm sure you deserve it

It's great to finally see the new camera in its rightful place, fully domesticated. It looks superb and your lenses do as well. Thanks for showing the pics!

I just love how they went for the Contax-ish dial arrangement. Model dial on the far left...

Does the 24-50 A work on the K1 the same way as it works on the film MZ-S?
Open aperture AE metering or is it stop down manual metering?

It's an A lens, not a fully manual K or M lens, so no need for green-button manual metering.
