Heart stopping moment - new K1

So reviewing my day of photos (about 400) and I noticed a "bird" in a shot of some water.... But then the "bird" was on the next 10 shots (and then a lot more when I looked carefully.) Went immediately to sensor cleaning, mirror up, and there was a pretty big "something" on the sensor. One blow and it was gone - PHEW! I am sure a damaged sensor would have warranted a quick replacement, but it still made me panic as I envisioned the process to resolve.

No one wants to see damage or any malfunctions so soon, it's quite understandable

If it had have been Nessie herself, you'd have been a bit wealthier by now... is it worth rechecking?

I thought I had the same photos of my daughter then checked photos of the sky, not there. I then realised I was shooting short DoF and it was a street light in the background well out of focus, d'oh.

Well...it could have been worse. Like the time over in the dreaded DPR that I advised a guy to clean his sensor with a magic wand at the car wash...and he did. Ruined his camera. I got a 30 day suspension...I guess for tampering with the brain of an idiot?
You know, the staff there is very protective of idiots, with good reason,........if you know their staff!

Regards!

If it had been Nessie... you could have set the sights a little higher and said, Hasselblad complete system here I come, with a lightweight Leica system as a more portable back up.
