No lens profile for the DA* 55/1.4 on FF?

I'm still wondering why this lens isn't shown as a compatible with full frame, but in any event, why no lens correcting profiles for it?

Correct, there are no in-camera profiles. The only DA lenses "officially" compatible are the 200mm, 300mm, and 560mm. Maybe Pentax's standards are way stricter than ours?

I guess the DA*55 is not recognized as FF lens because of vignetting wide open. DA*55 works great on FF when stopped down to f2.8, but... when used on FF, 55mm become a standard FL lens interesting to use edge to edge. When stopped down to f2.8, except for its smaller size/weight, there is little gain of using this standard FL over using the DFA24-70 set at 55mm f2.8. IMO, using the DA*55 on APSC/crop mode makes sense (=85mm equivalent portrait lens), but makes less sense to use it on FF for the same purpose. Also there is a new standard FL prime on the road map, that means from marketing standpoint, DA*55 isn't promoted for FF use.

Can we see an image of the vignetting with the da*55 set at F1. 4 to f2.8 ? Maybe the hood is also playing a part in this, so maybe take it off.

Maybe at least the third party raw editors will make FF profiles for these lenses.

There is a profile in Lightroom that seems to remove vignetting, although I wonder if it isn't an APS-C profile, it does seem to work with the DA 55 and K-1 combo.

This is a shot at f1.4. Tough with these shots because depth of field is so limited it is usually hard to judge edge sharpness, etc.

As opposed to the 560mm that needs to be stopped down below F8?

Not sure if you wanted to throw in some drama or if you remain objective. Objectively, with the D560, corners aren't that essential since the reason why people buy a D560 is for getting more reach even on crop body, hence usually not a problem to crop the edges on FF and not needing to stop it down to f8 or more.
