Mirror Noise, normal?

I just got a K-1 and find the mirror up noisy compared to either my K-3 or the K-30 I owned before that. I suspect it is just the way the K-1 is, but since I had this knowledgeable community available I thought I'd ask if it is indeed nothing to worry about.
The below link is to a video on my g-drive which demonstrates the noise.

Sounds about right. It's a bigger mirror than you are used to.

Isn't the mirror also doing a rotate/shift combination to save space and allow for slightly prodruding lens elements?

It sure is doing something new. Mirror swings differently, gets tucked in as it swings up:

Features4 | PENTAX K-1 | RICOH IMAGING

I find the K-1 mirror/shutter noise level different from K-3, but still pretty soft and muffled.

My last FF camera, the Sony alpha 850 (and 900) had the same type of mirror, as I recall.

This is great when adapting lenses like the Russian Mir 1B with a M42 adapter. The rear element protrudes quite a ways in toward the mirror. I remember I had issues with the mirror in APS bodies getting stuck. The floating/retracting mirror is awesome!
